Leah Patterson/Baker - Ada Nicodemou
baywatcher replied to Skykat's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
Ada talks more about Leah's ordeal. Contains spoilers for UK pace viewers. https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/home-and-away/a32194458/home-and-away-spoilers-ada-nicodemou-leah-aftermath/ -
This is very interesting. Could a return for Martha Jnr actually be on the cards? https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/home-and-away/a32186221/neighbours-jodi-anasta-home-and-away-return/

Willow was right to be angry at Alex and Jas was right to give Alex some home truths but actually, as Willow said, Alex did have a point. I do feel for Willow though. I'd be interested to know what the mystery man has over Leah. She is not the oppressed lady we were seeing today. I can't believe that she hasn't tried to get away from him and get her life back. Good to see Justin more positive.

The continuity announcer said right at the start of today's ep that it was on Mon, Wed & Fri from next week.

It was good to see Jas being more positive. She had some nice scenes, particularly with Tori. Speaking of Tori, I'm really surprised that she is so keen to go back to work at the hospital where her brother has just died. I've been rooting for Willow to find someone to love, who really loves her back and I do like Alex but... Really not invested in the Leah storyline. It just seems like unnecessary drama to give Ada a few extra weeks holiday. When did UK viewers last see her? I must say that I haven't particularly missed the character.

What is it with people in SB inviting someone to move in without checking with others in the household first? Still, Ziggy is completely right not to rush into moving in with Dean and he was surprisingly ok with her decision and reasoning. I'm not Bella's biggest fan but I sympathise with her situation, being pushed into counselling (which she needs) but not being able to talk about 'the elephant in the room', which is probably the main reason she needs it in the first place. I'm not clear on why she isn't going back to school though. I think she went back after the assault and it seemed to do her good. Poor Jas. It's just one thing after another for her at the moment.

I actually felt a bit sorry for John during his chat with Roo. He has feelings too and is concerned about his marriage.

Sam Frost talks about her life-long battles with depression. https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/home-and-away/a32015331/home-and-away-sam-frost-depression-believe/ I think it's really important, especially in the current climate, for people to talk about how they feel.

Nice that Maz continued her kindness towards the Parata's but she really should have discussed it with John first before inviting them to stay. He can be a galah sometimes but I did think he had a right to be miffed. Personally, I think the best course of action would have been for Maz to ask Roo if they could come to some arrangement as to them staying at the caravan park (but then there's no trigger for tension between Maz and John, which seems to be what's intended here, I suspect). I think Mac has been a bit quick to jump into the dating game (great name for a dating site ?). Unless I've missed something, she hasn't even had a conversation with Colby about where their relationship is going. They just haven't seen each other (and that's only because he hasn't been in it for a few eps). Loved the exchange between Ben and Dean re checking out guys ?.

I absolutely love episodes like that (Fri), which are family / community focused. I was seriously welling up at Maz's kindness to the Parata's. Shame John had to spoil it. Great to see his friends rallying around Justin.

Nice scene with Justin & Ziggy. I like their friendship. I think James has given a great performance with his quiet grief over Mason. Dean was a bit off with Alex, then Willow. Hopefully his chat with Mac will change his mind (or attitude).

I think this is a really sensible decision from 5. Better than taking it off air completely. Thank You.

I'm back in the Bay again. Gave up last year because I was finding the Robbo stuff so tedious but thought I'd give it another go once he was gone. I binge-watched most of the 2020 eps today (in lieu of not having much else to do ?) and for the most part enjoyed them. Shame about Mason. I think James, Penny & Sam have given great, nicely judged performances (although I did think Jasmine was a bit o.t.t. at the funeral). That should finally shut the critics up about Sam's reality tv background. Really enjoyed Alf & Martha's wedding and the scenes leading up to it. Belinda looked lovely. Good to hear that she will now be a semi-regular and around whenever Alf is. Nice to see some older characters getting the spotlight for a change. The Parata family seem ok so far. I thought the Jade storyline was a like throwback to something we might've seen back in the late 80s / early 90s (without the sextape references obvs.). It felt more in keeping with the show from earlier in its run to me. Keep well and stay safe everyone.

I just wanted to express my sadness at hearing about the passing of Sarah's brother, Karl De Abrew. My thoughts are with her and her family.

Rohan is doing a fantastic job with this storyline.

Does Summer Bay High have a sixth form (if that means anything to anyone) e.g. do pupils stay on beyond Year 12 to study advanced subjects or do they all leave after taking the H.S.C.?

When we see a beach scene and there are other people in the background, are these extras, or just members of the public going about their business?

Thanks @Dan F ?
