  1. I didn't really like Ziggy when I watched briefly last year but she's grown on me in the three months I've been watching this time around. I think Sophie has nailed all her scenes in the fallout from the marriage breakdown.
  2. I think that was Dean actually ?
  3. I quite like Colby. Ok, he killed someone but it was for the right reasons (if there ever can be such a thing). I like how he is so protective of Bella and his friendship with Dean & Willow. I just wonder whether the writers have an arc planned out for him and the truth will out. How will the other SB residents react when they find out what he did?
  4. Tipping down . After last years heatwave, normal service has been resumed for the great British summer. It's been raining almost non-stop all week and cold too. Some parts of the country have had three months worth of rain in the space of 24-48 hours
  5. Does anyone else find it strange that a guest character can be brought in for anything between one and three months but would have still stopped filming before viewers actually see them and producers can gauge their popularity (or lack of). I guess they can be brought back if viewers like them. Same goes for signing permanent cast up for 3 years from the get go. It's an awfully long time to be stuck with someone if they turn out to me unpopular. Is there a get-out clause? I'm interested in the mechanics of how these things work.
  6. Do Aussie viewers ever get to see the closing credits UK viewers do? If not, why not?
  7. When will we see the first 2019 filmed scenes onscreen?
  8. Marilyn made her first appearance in Summer Bay 30 years ago this week. Happy Anniversary Emily ?
  9. What is the relationship between Seven & Five regards H&A? Do 7 make the show exactly as they want, or does 5 have any influence over what happens? Do 5 have a finite contract which is running down to a renewal, or will they screen the show for as long as 7 continue to make it?
  10. Thanks @jrobertshk. Sounds quite bizarre. At least we know where we stand on Five in the UK ?
  11. I dip in and out, so I've only known of her character for a few weeks but she seems fine to me. I like her (at the moment - this may change when I really don't understand this obsession with casting (un)reality tv 'stars' into soaps but she is no worse than anyone else on the show and a lot better than some of her contemporaries on other shows. I liked her recent scenes with Jett at the hospital.
  12. When did Seven introduce a sixth weekly episode and what was the thinking behind this?
  13. Is Yabbie Creek ever seen on screen?
  14. Justin is my favourite character in the show at the moment. He wasn't a big part of the UK episodes 6-10 May but he had a range of scenes which showed how well-rounded he is - inviting Simone to the family dinner, despite his misgivings about the relationship and his part in covering it up, his talk with Ziggy at the garage, looking out for Tori and his ongoing encounters with Leah ? I hope he sticks around for the foreseeable.
  15. I'd like to see more of Sydney featured in the show, although I will never get enough of the stunning Palm Beach location.
  16. Went to see Call Me By Your Name at the cinema last night. It was very good.
  17. I think Willow's attitude problem can be forgiven, given her circumstances (Mom walking out, Dad having Alzheimer's). She seems to be relenting a little and letting Justin help her. I really like the character and hope she will be around for the foreseeable.
  18. Not for me on My 5, or whatever they call it now
  19. The 7 screening schedule seems crazy! Thank goodness for catch-up Does it work like that because of all the times during the year the show gets taken off for something else? So, does the number of episodes screened in a 'year' equal what would be Mon-Fri over a 45 week period? I try to watch the 13.15 screening on 5 but if I miss it I'm just as happy to see it on demand because my tv doesn't include any ads or breaks, which seems to differ for other people?
  20. Saw Lost in Paris at the cinema last night. Different!
  21. God's Own Country. Described as the 'British Brokeback Mountain'' but much better. Beautifully acted, directed, filmed and very touching. My new favourite film. Thought I'd missed seeing this on the big screen, as I only heard about it after the very limited release in cinemas had finished but found out yesterday that it is on at three local venues in a month or so .
  22. Willow had a great introduction and is one of the more interesting characters on screen presently (and without intending to offend anybody, the actress is very pretty ).
