  1. Exactly 4.20am. I have insomnia, have always had real problems with sleeping. Thought you knew that by now Rosey, I'm always on MSN at stupid o'clock in the morning! Dean 19.00 GBP = 47.5671 AUD (Australia Dollars) *from a currency conversion site I googled* That means I got it really cheap!
  2. I'm blaming you anyway, the downloads aren't working on this computer and you've made me want to watch it so I've just bought it from Amazon on my credit card. It was only £19 which is really cheap so I don't mind too much, provided it goes on next months bill. I'm already going to struggle to pay off this months! Should arrive within a day or two...I'm all excited now.
  3. Mandy? After faking her and Tony's death in the car bombing she was cornered by Jack and Curtis hit her from behind as Jack warned Tony who ducked to stop her shooting him. She took a deal in return for her evidence, assumedly she's behind bars somewhere. Do I want to know why you're asking that? And teasing me is downright cruel...you just know I'm going to drag my poor sick body downtown tomorrow to buy the bloody thing! You can call me Kat by the way if you prefer.
  4. Please don't...you have no idea how much willpower I'm using up not going in that thread! I think its just come out on DVD here but I didn't bother to buy it because I started downloading it instead. If its going to take this long for every episode though I'll just go buy it. I am liking Season 5 so far although I was gutted when they bumped off all the oldies...
  5. Episode 4 of season 5. I was obsessed with season one when it was on TV and bought seasons 1-4 on box set, been meaning to get round to watching them for years but finally did the marathon the other week on my week off. I downloaded season 5 episodes and started watching them last week but then syupid computer crashed so I'm having to re-download them. Its doing my head in, I so badly want to know whats going on. I keep seeing previews of season 6 on TV and in the tv forum and I'm dying to go look but don't wana ruin it for myself. I'm obsessed with it, its such compulsive TV.
  6. Thanks Amir. I'm having lots of lemsips and cough mixture until I can get to the Doctors on Monday. Plus the next episode of 24 finally downloaded so I have something to watch. I'm dying to start watching season six but really want to catch up on season 5 first.
  7. I know especially if your friends are like mine and seem to think its funny to phone you all the time and no doubt I'll get a phone call soon saying they can't get a taxi can I come and get them. Fortunately I have a flat tyre and no inclination to change it until it gets light. Nearly broke my leg last time I tried to change a tyre in the dark because I didn't have the jack on right and the car dropped, only just missed me. So you're about 11 hours ahead of us then?
  8. Timezones just baffle me, I always get mixed up! No I'm not on antibiotics but I've had chest infections before, get them quite often and I know what I'm in for. I'll have to go the Doctors on Monday. I had bad bronchitus as a child so when I get a bad chest I get it really bad. I had to sit my GCSE exams in a corridor because I disturbed people so much and there was too many complaints about my coughing. It's horrible I sound like a dog barking and it hurts like hell. If I'd have gone out the smoke in town would have just about killed me. Sooner they bring in no smoking in July the better. Just means I'm sat in on a Saturday night while my friends are ridiculously drunk and tormenting me...its sad really. I need to cheer up anyway, theres a few more coming on MSN now so not quite as lonely.
  9. Okay your post really confused me there because it was posted at 1.30 my time...bloody timezones are so confusing sometimes! I'm bored. Have a chest infection so I can't go out and all my mates are in town so nobody's online and I'm feeling a little bit left out because they keep phoning me drunkenly when certain songs come on. Bastards.
  10. ILM I had no idea you'd even updated! You're right, this was one of your best chapters yet...so much to love about it. I don't know why but that line seemed to tie in so well with later Sally, her OCD, kind of like she'd always had these wierd little insecurities. Great writing though, really bought her character alive for me. God my heart bled for him. Poor Steven, why did Frank have to be so cruel? I just wanted someone to reach out to him and give him a hug. Really emotional stuff. Okay, okay you had me crying at this point. So gorgeous, I got such a lovely, warm, fuzzy feeling from this bit. I really wanted somebody to give me a hug and kiss goodnight and give me hot chocolate and marshmellows! Really evocative description, so touching I was in tears. Still crying, poor Sally, you do know how to tug at the heartstrings ILM. The song was great, really impressed you made the words up. It seemed so perfect interwoven with Steven's memories. I really felt Steven's lonliness right through this chapter, I was just dying for someone to reach out and hug him. Putting everyone in pairs too really emphasised the lonliness, great work. The memories are so effective in really bringing the characters to life, such brilliant, brilliant writing I'd be here all day if I picked bits out. Just know that I loved them, all of them. Beautiful description, really well written and then twinged with such sadness that he's so worried about Frank. So devastatingly effective. I love Kane so much. His childish innocence is perfect, so cute and provides great bits of humour to such dark times. You're still the best children's writer I've ever read. Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! How could you! Don't you dare Scotty! Great ending, really good. Will it work if I demand, more, now? Anyway I'll end long review, it was long because there was so, so much to like about it. I'm only sorry I didn't realise you'd updated sooner.
  11. Jade you are an angel thanks for the update. And Jess...thanks for the chapter. Once again you continue to excel yourself. Just when I think it's all going to be plain sailing you throw more twists and turns in. Another great introduction. I love these little interactions, the hoes over bros undercurrent that runs through this fic. My God...an observant male...I need to have his phone number asap! Wow, I didn't see that coming. I did feel her confusion though, her trauma, I could almost see her shrugging her shoulders, ignoring Cassie's gaze. Great writing. Loved the open ending too. Once again a great update, too much to ask for more Jade?
  12. Jade you're my new hero! Just what I needed to cheer me up. Jess what can I say, the chapter after the one before... I thought that just maybe it might have been a bit of an anticlimax but I should have known better. Loved it and yes!!!!!!! you finally did it...Sara has left the building. What an outburst, I know she was hurting but jeez, nasty, vindictive... Great introduction, awesome description. I loved the conversation with Ric aswell, about how Ric was joking around but then Lucas got all serious, really well written. I was almost screaming at him at this point! Great chapter Jess, seriously loved it and Jade...more soon?
  13. The wind is so bad here the whole of the Northwest is practically shut down. The M6, M56, M60, M62, M53 are all shut due to overturned lorries. Runcorn/Widnes bridge is shut as is the Thelwall viaduct, all major roads are shut and most of the minor roads because of trees coming down or roofs being blown off. Alder Hey Hospital is shut because the roofs come off, flights are grounded at Manchester and Liverpool Airport, the tunnels are at a standstill. liverpool city centres at a standstill and theres no open route out of chester and Jackie just said Manchesters the same. Its awful.
  14. I think the seasons have all become messed up. I monitor the weather a lot because of the sky sports but it seems to me over the past few years that the more summary weather occurs around April/May/June and into July and August its more like freak weather, storms one minute heat waves the next. That seems to have been the case the past few years plus aswell it seems to start getting colder really early on, I remember it being freezing from October onwards this year. Also the weather here now might be horrible, all rain and wind but its not the freezing cold you expect from winter, like we had in mid-November. I think the seasons are all completely messed up so Spring is more like Summer, Summer more like Autumn, Autumn more like Winter and Winter more like Spring. I don't know about the rest of the world, does anyone else think that of the UK though?
  15. lol. I know exactly what you mean Sian!
  16. I think I'd prefer hurricaine weather than this. If it wasn't for the wind it'd be a perfect winters day, blue sky, sunny, a bit cold but the wind is so strong I keep thinking I'm going to get blown over.
  17. The damn wind is horrendous again so not even going to risk the bike and I already let my mum borrow the car so I'm housebound again and no way am I walking anywhere in weather like this. I had the plane booked for Saturday morning as well but if this wind doesn't ease off theres no way I'll be able to take it up, they ground all light aircraft if the wind's too high but I wouldn't want to take it up in this anyway, its so scary flying in winds.
  18. Insomnia is no fun when there's nobody around to speak to. I've also had today off work and been trying to distract myself all day so I've run out of ways to occupy myself and I'm bored now.
  19. It was pouring down all night here but been relatively dry today. Its the wind that drives me mad though because it puts me off taking the bike out when its as windy as it has been and means I have to drive everywhere, which just isn't the same at all.
  20. I just get confused easily..
  21. Don't you love how easy it is to hide sarcasm on the boards...
  22. Yay you did a second one! Great work...
  23. I changed the title for you to 2007, was that right? Let me know if you wanted it changed anymore.
  24. Thanks to everyone for their comments. no promises on the next one though, sorry.
  25. thanks for the reviews. Much appreciated. For those who don't know the subsequent one-shot to this is now up: The Healing power of Coffee.
