  1. Micheal Palin is obviously a legend, and I do like John's hair, but again I'm a little confused about the HAA reference. Unless one of Michael's travelling adventures took him to the Bay, perhaps to join Alf for a spot of fishing? That would be good, actually, better than the stupid golf man.
  2. Shame about the HAA-only rule really, as that is too funny. I think you could probably have some fun with the Post Your Picture Thread and some screen caps, though.
  3. Too funny. Ryan, you are the definition of the phrase, "There is always someone..." Good news about the golf man, however. If Neighbours can get Shane Warne, I feel HAA should retaliate in some way
  4. Ryan you are very talented. I think you should begin making avatars in earnest. Who was moaning about your avatar? It was Gypsy. What is wrong with that? Maybe I missed something. If so, that is not fair, I think there should be no intersting discussions whatsoever if I am not present. ETA: Ahh, question answered ^^ Can I please see this avatar? No?
  5. Just found That Endless Summer on fanfiction.net but thought I would review here. Then, I realise there is ANOTHER fic for me to read - beautiful! Haven't done so yet but will. That Endless Summer is excellent, as always. I have a sneaking feeling that drama is coming...I don't know why! I love it, and can't wait for the next part. Actually, I got so excited when I saw trhe words "Sequel to Seduction of Summer" that I momentarily stopped concentrating, and succeeded in burning a hole in one of my cushions on my bed with my cigarette, which isn't good, but the fic more than makes up for it!
  6. Typical though that the pharmaceutical companies aren't interested. I hope this can work in Africa, the situation is so terrible.
  7. Sorry it took a while, Jess. Hating being at home! I absolutely loved it, I thought it was incredible. i can't believe it is over but I am ver very much looking forward to your next fic! Don't be so hard on yourself, the las chapter (before the epilogue) was really good, much better than similar scenes in other fics I have read. It was really well written, not too OTT or too fluffy either. You are a brilliant writer. xxxx
  8. I watched Stepmom again the other night, and cried again. Last night, though, I watched Ladies in Lavender. It was slow-paced, but absolutely beautiful. Judi Dench and Maggie Smith are always fantastic, the scenery is amazing, the story is really sweet. To be honest, I only went along with it because my Mum wanted to watch it and also I have a huuuuuuuuuuuge crush on Daniel Bruhl (the only reason I ever do extra work for German and watch a film is if he is in it, I am so in love). But I really enjoyed it. I'm not going to lie though, my favourite bit was him in the scary 1930s stye swimming costume. Don't care, still hot.
  9. Gaah! Gaah! Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, technology lets me down again. *kicks stupid wireless internet router* I mean, blocking MSN, Hotmail and Facebook is bad enough, but now I can't get onto fanfiction.net either?! *kicks it again, and again, and again* I will be reading and reviewing the last two chapters tomorrow after work. I am very very upset that I can't do it now. My little heart was so excited when I saw earlier that you had updated, and now.... *kicks it again, and wails inconsolably* *stomps off to try and calm down. Kicks router again as passes*
  10. Well, that is good in a way. Will be a very cheap night! Just be aware and pace yourself - i.e. don't drink a bottle of wine in half an hour. If you go slowly then you'll be fine. OMG you woudn't belive how much I have eaten since I got out of the bar at 2. A portion of chips at Raj's, the back at the flat a pitta and hoummus, a sizeable bar of chocolate and a fried egg sandwich of all things! I feel disgusted with self. May not eat tomorrow. Ugh.
  11. Well then whatever you like. I always find that when I haven't drunk for a long time then anything will do, your tolerance gets really low.
  12. Get lots and lots and lots of alcohol and hopefully someone will kick your window in. Only joking. I'm sure your friends aren't utter scallies like mine are. We spent about £80 on alcohol between 8 of us - got beer, a bit of wine, a bit of vodka and some alcopops. Basically went for the cheap stuff and the special offers - people aren't going to complain if it's free.
  13. I am trying to decide whether or not to go to bed for an hour or so, or just to stay up and finish my essay then go to my lecture, hand essay in then go to bed. I'm not tired at all so I think I'm going to stay up. ETA: And well done on the mod-ship Mez xxx
  14. Aww Hayley well done that is fantastic!!!! Yay! I went out for one night, seems I missed quite a lot - random debates that I could have got stupidly angered by. Is probably a good thing I wasn't here... Anyone around now?
  15. ^ Good luck with that! I work with kids and painting is very very very very very messy! How many children do you have? You could do a show, or do some pretending games. I always feel a bit of an idiot at first but soon get into my role! Or of course felt pens and colouring pencils and crayons are muxh easier to clean up. You can get picyures to colour in from the internet as well, of Disney characters and CBeebies and things. Try searching on google.
  16. *coughcough*
  17. Still raining here in Manchester! Woo! I am not going out to the supermarket in this, I'll starve instead.
  18. It's been chucking it down all day too here. And it's very windy, as my broken umbrella can vouch for!
  19. This is definitely my favoutrite fan fic, which is impressive as I don't really like these characters. You are an excellent writer, I can't wait for more.
  20. Anyone here? I am bored. I have given up on essay and have made a pretty picture with coloured pens.
  21. I still haven't done anything either, and not just work-wise. I haven't done my laundry or been to the supermarket. I only got dressed an hour ago!
  22. ^ I probably wasn't being very clear. It basically is just a way to waste time.
  23. Aaah Flood control is annoying! Facebook is basically the ultimate tool in procrastination for students who don't want to do their work! It's a lot like Bebo and Hi5 but just for uni students. You join and make a profile, then you can see everyone else from your uni who has also joined. You can be "friends" the with the people you know, from classes or halls or just random people. You can also be friends with people at other unis, who you know from school and things. It is completely addictive. My flatmates found it this weekend, and we have all spent the weekend sitting in our bedrooms messing about on it, leaving each other messages and things. It is ridiculous!
  24. Anyone around? I have wasted yet another day on Facebook and my essay is no nearer to being started than it was on Friday morning. What is really annoying, though, is that I still only have about nine Facebook-friends! I am a loser....
  25. Yeah that is really cool. Anyway. it is now stupid o'clock and I do have a 9am lectire on French politics, so I'm off to bed. See you soon, have a good day or sleep well, xxx
