  1. I want to learn lots of languages! But I do enjoy the literature and history modules a lot more than the actual language ones, which can be quite dull. Irish Gaelic would be cool though.
  2. I do like it really, I like both languages. I'm just having a blip at the mo - a term long blip that nearly caused me to drop out of uni! But I'm getting back on track now and I'm going to stick it out.
  3. German comes much more naturally to me than French. When I'm speaking or writing German, I usually feel pretty sure it is right. When I'm using French, I'm really just making it up as I go along and hoping for the best.
  4. Trying to do a terms worth of work in one night results in work being rubbish! Who wants to go and sit in a pub and talk German with a load of other English people? What is the effing point - they are English, I am English, lets have another round and talk in English!
  5. Muede. Hate my degree, hate it hate it hate it! It's just too boring.
  6. *Waves back* Any one want to do my German homework for me? No? Didn't think so somehow...
  7. Still avoiding my work, still wide awake even though it is gone midnight. Otherwise very good How are you?
  8. Oh my God!!!!!!!!!! I have just looked in my diary for tommorow and it says in lovely pink capitals "Hand in German ILLP". We are supposed to do an Independent Language Learning Portfolio for each language, with all the extra work we should be doing, like speaking German, listening, reading, watching films, grammar exercises and such like. Of course, no one really does this as it is a pain in the bum and non-assessed, but it is compulsary and you get in deep poo if you don't make it look like you've done something. Unfortunately, the tutor who is checking mine is a real b*tch and will go mad if I don't hand it in (especially as she is already slightly peeved about my non-presence at my workshop this afternoon). Looks like I'm going to have to make something up now. And I was just thinking about getting in bed too.
  9. Aww that was really good, I liked the happy ending, and Tasha and Martha bringing up their babies together as best friends. So sweet!
  10. Onyx am I being dim or are you being weird? Either is entirely possible, I'm not that bright. ETA: I might just go and hide somewhere until I feel more human.
  11. Haha Frankie. Oh God, can't even summon the energy to get changed. Don't think turning at a bar in my Primark tracksuit is a good idea though. My boyfriend is already at the pub so he'll be nice and drunk when I get there.
  12. It's so tempting but I really can't. Maybe I'll just get drunk and accidentally tell them what I think about them!
  13. After a nightmare day battling public transport ALL I want to do is have a duvet and DVD evening. Unfortunaely, I am going out with my boyfriend and all his loser friends. Who hate me. Great.
  14. This is brilliant Jess! I love it.
  15. Hmmm, usually I am with them. Otherwise I just ignore it. They'll all K.O completely soon. Tom the Chav has not been in a fight tonight, I am happy to say. It would have been the third week running! Hahaha. It's not a problem really. They are in the kitchen now which is at the other end of the hall, so I can't even hear them. Whenever any of us go out we try to be considerate! It's funny really. They will all be so happy tomorrow when I do the half seven wake up call!
  16. I will in a bit. Not much point trying right now, it's like a disco inferno in here! I'm sure Tom the Chav will be round shortly, ringing on the doorbell (my room is right by the door!). I just hope he hasn't been in a fight this week... Oh the joys of uni life!
  17. I am, can't sleep. Im supposed to be reading French Lit for my 9am seminar tomorrow but isn't going well. Just burned finger with hair straighteners as well. ETA: Ahh, have just heard Bohemian Rhapsody being sung at full volume outside my window by a bunch of drunken girls. My flatmates must be back. Half 12, good effort from them, they are usually passed out by about 11:30. Oh dear, am looking out now and one of them is being sick. I'm definitely pretending to be asleep.
  18. ^ I think that's probably wise! I have Friday's off, so today I'm just relaxing. Trying to avoid checking the Intranet because I really do not want my exam results.
  19. She is. Its quite funny, actually, eight supposed adults hiding in our bedrooms because we are scared of the cleaner! Oh my God, just looked out the window and it is suddenly peeing it down! Maybe won't go into university to pick up my essay... It'll wait until Monday!
  20. I am hiding in my room from the scary woman who cleans our flat. She just told me off because it was messy. I can't understand it - she cleans university halls of residence, that is her job, but she doesn't have to do it if they are too dirty. What is the point? Must be the easiest job in the world! She is a horrible woman anyway. I didn't realise she was here and went to get a drink, and she told me off , in my own flat .
  21. Ahhh peace at last! It sounds to me like someone may have confiscated the beach ball, o the boys have gone back to the Game Cube. Not really sure if that's a good thing or not...
  22. I haven't seen any of the good sports. I don't know why, but it always seems to be sliding-down-a-hill-on-a-tea-tray every time I go in the living room! I want to see the speed skating or ice dancing. I am so going to pop that ****ing beach ball in a minute! I wish I'd never brought the ****dy thing home now! I suppose I only have myself to blame...
  23. You may be on the othr side of the world, but men are apparently exactly the same! My flatmate and his friend (who practically lives here anyway) are currently enjoying a fun game of "Who can make the most noise outside Emma's room with an inflatable beach ball". I wouldn't mind, as it is half past eleven, but the game has been going on now for a good few hours. Not so fun! On the plus side, I put my deposit down on a flat this morning! I have somewher to live next year, and it's really nice! I am so excited!
  24. I'll speak to you soon I'm sure. Have a good sleep! *Sends a kiss "mwah" and lots of love* xxx
  25. I remember my History teacher getting at me about Cambridge when I was in Year 12. I felt like I was always justfying myself. I think everyone can imagine what it would be like to be at Oxbridge and if you don't want to be there then don't. Its really hard though, you have to be really strong and sure of yoyrself to resist the pressue. But, think of the stress if you do apply - intervies for course, aptitude tests, interviews with colleges.... I think you need to really want it to put yourself through that!
