Hello! I'm Dan, I'm 39 years old and live in Nottinghamshire in the heart of England. I first happened upon a version of this site back in 2003, when I contributed an account of my trip to LA with the cast to Jeremai's "Home and Away Source" - after many site changes/mergers and gradually working through the ranks I became one of the Admins at the end of 2005.

With a lifelong obsession with the workings of television, I graduated in 2007 with a BA Hons degree in Media Production. Since then I've worked as a freelance camera operator/editor - with a bit of graphic design & photography thrown in for good measure. A documentary I directed is on sale in the Peak District National Park and was nominated for a Royal Television Society award.

BTTB has brought some great experiences for me, most notably the honour of speaking to and meeting many cast and crew members, becoming an honorary member of Summer Bay's Surf Club, and also making new friends both on and off the forum.

As well as sharing duties in writing weekly articles for Home and Away, I have also covered Coronation Street and Emmerdale for our UK soap sub-brand EverySoap since 2022. As well as regular Zoom calls and set visits for press events/screenings, particular highlights have included being served mulled cider by Claire King (Kim Tate) in the Home Farm kitchen, and taking part in a pub quiz in the Rover's Return.
