  1. Info on the Oz Season Finale/Return dates, as well as UK airing info: http://www.backtothebay.net/news/2017/11/21/home-away-2017-season-finale-date/ (article is spoiler free)
  2. There wasn't a change of producer (Julie McGauran took over in early 2002 and remained until 2007), but the Script Producers changed - Coral Drouyn until mid-2004, then Bevan Lee for the second half of 2004 to ease the transition before Dan Bennett took over from the 2005 opener.
  3. Different place Though the bridge at the location the Morgans visited was seen not too long back in one of the Early Year eps from 1996 (where Shannon went for her failed meeting with Katherine).
  4. A location from 2005 uploaded earlier, the psychiatric facility that Irene was sent to as a result of Corey Henderson poisoning her. With thanks to QA for taking the pics.
  5. For those that didn't get the message on the forum before it went offline (or for those who don't use Twitter) the several hours of site/forum downtime was due to our hosts moving us to a new and improved server. Whilst we haven't had any service updates as yet, we're presuming that everything is now switched over as planned, so the forum has been turned back on. However if it does disappear again later on then you'll know why
  6. Yes there were issues earlier. It's safe for you to assume that when it goes down, it's down for everyone. If in doubt you can try isup.me which will confirm either way.
  7. It's showing up that you have 'liked' RR1's latest comment in your fic, if that's the one you're referring to...?
  8. The main reason is to prevent spoiler posts/threads appearing on the forum index and accidentally spoiling international viewers who don't read them. If they don't enter the password for the Oz/Spoiler forums, then they won't see anything pop up from there. Of course it also acts as an incentive for people to sign up and join in the discussion Any joy with the activity streams now we've had the update?
  9. I think the issue is that some people aren't seeing the heart icon in the first place - as I mentioned, tapping on the heart on a touchscreen will activate the submenu to let you choose the emotions anyway. I'm not really sure myself what the issue could be, whether certain browsers/devices are blocking it for any reason, but will flag it up for @Chris J to see if he can find out whether it's a known issue. It's the same green that we have on the navigation bar on the main site, though we're experimenting a little at the moment anyway so it may, or may not, change again
  10. The Births, Marriages and Deaths pages have been updated. Yup, now switched them (we're going by engagement dates rather than wedding, but the same still applies).
  11. If you're on a computer, hover over the heart icon at the bottom right of a post and it will show the other reactions. If you're on a mobile device, tapping the heart will show all the reactions before you select one.
  12. Chris Yup, most of the new features are behind-the-scenes (or things that we don't really have a need for at the moment), but as well as a few cosmetic changes, the most notable new features for members are: New Reactions for Posts - along with the old Like (which is now heart shaped), there's now Thanks, Confused, Sad and HaHa. Device Management - accessible via your Account Settings, this shows all the devices that have logged into your account in the past 90 days. Whilst I wouldn't imagine sneakily logging into someone's BTTB account is on anyone's priority list, if you do see any devices you don't recognise, then you are able to log that device out of your account straight from that page and change your password. Could be handy if for example you leave yourself logged in on someone else's computer and they decide to have a poke around. Letter Profile Photos - for those who haven't added a profile photo, the default we've currently set is for an automatically generated one featuring the first letter of your username. The idea behind this is to differentiate between such users a little more, as opposed to the old grey silhouette that used to be there on every post. With it being automatic, you don't get a choice of colour, but obviously you are free to replace it with a pic of your choosing (as long as it's H&A related as per our rules).
  13. The mid-year character profile update is now complete with storylines up to the end of June 2017, with thanks to RR1 as ever. In addition to all those listed on the Current Character pages, which includes new profiles added today for the Astoni family, there's also been updates to Morag, Heath, Bianca and Jett after their guest stints - as well as newly completed profiles for Billie, Matt, Evie, Phoebe, Nate and Zac. N.B. Scarlett will be included in the next update, as she didn't technically become part of the main cast until July.
  14. Her city house is awaiting upload to the site, the Summer Bay one (which Sophie Taylor also lived in) hasn't been photographed yet.
  15. It's certainly not an issue I'm aware of, but that's probably because I don't use streams Have you tried recreating the personalised stream, and are the missing threads from particular forums (i.e. password protected ones) or are they just random? If it is a bug then there's a quite significant update for the forum software pending when Chris has the time, so it may be squished then.
  16. A bit of a different location today - the Blaxland!
  17. We saw her dead body (Irene stayed with her for some time after watching her die and Alf joined her) and we saw her funeral
  18. I couldn't say what was said on-screen, if anything, though the eBook they released to mark their departure had them moving to another coastal town named Palm Cove (whether that counts as canon is down to personal preference though).
  19. Yes we were painfully aware of it, we had a big spike in traffic visiting the spoiler article we uploaded earlier. Things seem to have settled down for now, touch wood.
  20. It's a few doors up from Jennifer's house, it's the one I mentioned in here back in March. And yes, the Richards house was at the end of the street (though not on the beachside and long since demolished). A slightly more recent location added today, from 2012, the James House.
  21. It's not on-screen any more, it went out when Ricky left with Brax last year. The Morgan House which debuted that same week has pretty much taking it's 'place' in the show now.
  22. A gorgeous spot seen this week in the Early Years repeats, where Shannon & Alex went hang gliding. http://www.backtothebay.net/locations/rocky-point/ Already had my own pics from there so was able to save someone a trip
  23. Three new guest character profiles today: Claire Lewis Vanessa Unley Quinn Jackson Thanks to Matt and RR1 for the Claire & Vanessa profiles respectively (I had a crack at the Quinn one myself) Also two new locations from the Early Years in recent weeks, with thanks to QA for heading up to take pics: Saul's Cult Farm Blaxland Mansion (Morag's Summer Bay home in 1989)
  24. Two Stones by Walking on Cars
  25. No it's on a private estate and can't be seen from the road, though the caravan park and the garage are just about visible.
