  1. Thanks for the heads up, bit of a glitch with categories but Chris has now fixed
  2. All the characters that scored 3 points... https://www.backtothebay.net/features/most-popular-character-2024/147-166/
  3. And we’re live, with all those that scored 1-2 points… https://www.backtothebay.net/features/most-popular-character-2024/mpc2024-index/ Big thanks to @Red Ranger 1 as ever for providing another excellent commentary
  4. We're aiming to start on 8th December.

  7. We counted Buddy.
  8. Though as explained to you last time around—and also pointed out in both the initial post in here and the page on the main site—it's not about who you find most interesting out of the current characters It's supposed to be your favourite characters over the entire history of the show, or for however long you've watched. So your Blind Freddy vote (which we obviously didn't count) could have gone to Billie or someone else you preferred.
  9. Voting has obviously closed now, with over 1900 votes submitted covering nearly 200 characters - results will come in December for anyone interested.

  11. The info alluded to above was given to us direct from Bevan Lee to include in our Martha and Merv profiles: https://www.backtothebay.net/characters/baldivis_mervin/
  12. As per our location page, the council gave word that they planned to demolish in September 1988, whereas Celia took over on-screen in October 1988 - the delay between filming and TX at that point was around two months, so they probably wouldn't have known when scripting it.
  13. Tane did used to live there (since 2020), but had moved out to the farmhouse back in January after the split from Flick.
  14. I wouldn't say that - this is what was going on the previous time I was there
  15. Yes the date is correct (we noted it on the site earlier this week in an Oz paced story), it's been ending in mid-November in the UK for the past seven years or so.
  16. No problem - and no, I live in the UK and was just on a 'working holiday' for a couple of weeks. That was only the last few weeks of her break, the majority of it was spent touring with a theatre production (after a quick holiday to the UK/Ireland). More behind-the-scenes pics below for the engagement party for those that are interested - no spoilers, but I've just put it in the tag so those that aren't bothered can scroll on past.
  17. Might as well give these one last outing - for those that don't read spoiler articles or sneak into the spoiler/Aus Discussion sections (there must be at least one of you that doesn't ), here's a few behind-the-scenes pics from the past week's eps with a few titbits. All filmed on the same day (11th March). The drone shot that opened Monday's episode and into the scene with Xander offering to make Dana lunch (the poser on the fence was out of shot): The director (in the cap) is Chris Martin-Jones, who's been directing on the show on/off since 1990, and was series producer on A Place to Call Home and for two series of Packed to the Rafters if anyone saw those. Also from Monday, Flick heading into the alley where Rory told her that Dingo had been arrested: Tuesday's episode where Xander finally realised it was Harper that's pregnant, not Dana: And then onto Thursday's episode where John spoke to Mac and Levi before spotting Irene dumping her empties. Unfortunate that I snapped him with his eyes closed, but you may recognise the guy in the black shirt below as Seb Elmaloglou, who's worked behind-the-scenes in the art department for years having originally played Max Sutherland. Had a brief chat with Shane following this scene who seemed genuinely pleased to finally put a face to the name. I complimented him on his masterfully acted bin-diving and he acknowledged it as a career highlight, before thanking us for the "great work on Back to the Bay" (his words not mine). Lynne managed to shoot her little bit in only a few short mins so didn't get any pics of her, but then we bizarrely bumped into each other the very next day outside her local supermarket over 50kms away. I was in the area taking location pics and called in for some lunch whilst passing... wasn't purposely stalking her... And a little exclusive for the UK thread which hasn't been published, here's Emily and Tristan having a little dance-off between takes...
  18. Particularly that first massive gulp she downed without even a wince after 9 years of sobriety, I was thinking "Eesh that's gotta smart a bit"
  19. It's Mangrove River

  21. Yeah Dean actually added that bit to the left hand side, but it's since been covered over with the little face. Fun fact, I drove down that exact road Cash went down only a few weeks after they'd filmed there, though didn't realise its significance at the time as it's not in an area they film in very often.
  22. There was actually a nice bit of continuity there - it was Dean who added the "-2" graffiti in 2018 (just ignore the change in filming location and slightly different sign)
  23. Dean's a week older.
