  1. It's chucking it down again here and it looks like it's settling for the night
  2. Good good, got to keep your strength up now!
  3. Afternoon Golden Oldies!
  4. Not the best pic as it's a still from my camcorder but you get the general idea - it was snowing at this point but it hasn't come out well Typically it's absolutely chucking it down now!
  5. We're covered in snow.
  6. 'Coming Soon in the UK' has been updated with the next 2 weeks of Episode Guides
  7. Is it just me that finds the freaky BBC One Christmas Idents very Tim Burton? The kids look like Oompa Loompas and the soundtrack sounds very Danny Elfman! Could be the soundtrack to Edward Scissorhands if you close your eyes! Image from TV Ark
  8. Looks like rain then! What usually happens around here when they say it's going to snow!
  9. Blimey I'm stuffed! Possibly the best christmas dinner I've ever had! Starter was my classic Prawn Cocktail as no-one else can make it as good as me Turkey, Sausages, Pigs in Blankets, Bacon, Stuffing, Sausagemeat, Mashed Potatoes with Double Cream, Roast Potatoes, Sprouts, Broccoli, Carrots, Cranberry Jelly & Gravy! Now just waiting for them to clear the table and we'll watch Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
  10. Happy Birthday Claire! It's my second cousin's birthday on Christmas Day - though I have yet to meet her and I'm sure she's turning around 5/6...
  11. Classic!
  12. Whisky? urgh! *Dan cracks open his Bailey's and the Sherry, puts it down again when he remembers he's driving* I'm off to my best mates house tonight to give him his present and have an early christmas dinner with his family I already know what he'll have got me - Charlie & The Chocolate Factory DVD - he's so predictable!
  13. So how long are you going to be in York for Majohn?
  14. Ba Ba Ba, Ba Babybel! Sorry just having some for the first time in ages and I had to say that
  15. Don't jinx things Jess!
  16. Actually I think Jess made the 4000th post Aw it was 6 minutes before midnight! If it was after midnight it would be quite funny! 4000th post in the General Chat Thread on the same day the 4000th episode shows in the UK Lozza did the 4000th reply though!
  17. I used to have the same problems with my ears, in fact when I was coming into land in India when I was 7 my ear drum actually burst! When I went to LA I tried 'Earplanes' and they worked a treat, no pain whatsoever! I used them again when I went to Oz and again they worked wonders - unfortunately they didn't help me with getting no sleep on the plane - might have to take a tranquilizer with me next time
  18. What really bugs me is when the cyclists are provided with a cycle lane on a really busy road - but then those ones with the racing bikes still proceed to hold up the road as they think the cycle lane isn't fast enough! Sometimes I just feel like blaring my horn at them!
  19. Well we're going back to Palmie but that isn't until 2007! Gives us chance to finish Uni first so we can save up more - plus it means we'll be able to go later in the year when it's warmer

  21. Well not 'live' as in live to the nation - 'live' as in live to the gallery and TV Studio foyer to our tutor Some of it was OK, some of it was utter s**t - I spent ages creating the VT tape and they go and bugger it up - presenters weren't talking in time to the music of the opening titles - and then when we come to the final sting what do they do? Rewind the tape instead of fast forward so we get a clip of Resident Evil 4 instead of our programme title! Argh I swear half the people in my group are idiots! Anyways rant over! I'm directing the big project next year so they better get their asses in gear or they won't know what's hit them!
  22. Uh-Oh! Today's the day! TV Programme going live at 2pm - and I'm sure it's all going to go wrong thanks to our incompetent director!
  23. Welcome to the club!
  24. Nah, the town we were filming in was a really nice place - but it was just tiring driving there, going around the whole town up and down steep hills, filming interviews, going somewhere else, filming there, going somewhere else etc. It just meant we had to spend whole days there aswell as concentrating on other parts of our course at the same time - it's hard switcing between the documentary and our TV Programme every other day.
  25. Yep I've got grey hair but not from you Di - well maybe one strand I'm getting unbelievably stressed out with work - we've got our Live TV show on Tuesday and I know it's all going to go wrong due to our s**t director! I've also got to do an essay in the next few days about Working in the Media Industry and how I can improve my chances of getting in etc. Identify and discuss a range of factors that affect, and are likely to continue to affect, creative industry employment during your working life ahead. Suggest and discuss the strategies that you will employ to help develop and sustain your career throughout the changes identified above Argh! Thankfully we've finished filming our documentary in Sheffield, but now comes the process of editing 3 hours of footage into a 10 minute documentary! That needs to be done, complete with TONS of paperwork by 13th January - same day as ANOTHER essay which is from the most random pointless unit I've ever taken, Entertainment & Popular Culture
