  1. Two more character profiles added, both relatives of regulars - Patrick Stanwood (with thanks to our former team member Matt), and Russell Harris. Profile pics for a lot of the current cast have also been updated following a new photoshoot.
  2. Correct
  3. 190
  4. All the current regular profiles are now up to date to the end of June, with a new profile for Bella. Today we've also added a profile for Henri Brown, and a related minor filming location - Henri's City Home. Thanks to RR1 for the profiles and QA for the location pic.
  5. A new filming location was added to the site a couple of days ago - Robbo, Tori & Jasmine's Safe House And it's that time of year again where we start updating our current character profiles to the end of June, with thanks to @Red Ranger 1. First up with have a newly completed profile for Brody Morgan, and updated profiles for Coco Astoni and Ryder Jackson. The rest of the cast will follow over the next week or so, with the newest updates visible on the homepage.
  6. Not sure on that one I'm afraid, there weren't any tenants in it this time last year but that may have changed. A filming location that debuted in today's UK episode has been added, which may be familiar to those who watched another certain Aussie drama: https://www.backtothebay.net/locations/robbo-jasmine-toris-safe-house/ (just to note that whilst the page features images from scenes which are yet to air in the UK, these don't give away any plot details)
  7. It comes down to either the terms or the cost of licensing the song. Whether it's Seven who were unable/chose not to pay for a worldwide licence when they picked the Taylor Swift song, or whether it's Channel 5's responsibility to license the songs for UK broadcasts themselves, I don't know. But it happens a fair bit with the more well known artists. The UK version was a Belgian artist named Alice on the Roof. Of course if they had had an underscore rather than relying on pop songs for big occasions, then they would avoid situations where people around the world see different versions of the episodes.... ?
  8. That was Brett Egan (played by Emmanuel Marshall) in 1997. It started off with the usual "wind up the student teacher" capers and he attempted to rise above it, but it got progressively worse (releasing live chickens in the classroom) to the point where he rightly decided it was time to take a hard line and start punishing them. They turned against him further when he shouted at Kim Rose for ignoring him—thinking that her being deaf was yet another prank—and he humiliated Casey by reading out her particularly bad essay in class. I won't give an ep by ep account, but that went on for another week or two until Casey superglued him to the chair on his last day. Casey admitted it to Don, given that she was also leaving that same day and thought herself untouchable, but it did fracture her relationship with him which clearly upset both of them. So much so that he chose not to see her off, which meant she left under a bit of a black cloud. Joey did attempt to apologise to Brett before he left and Aaron obviously got a good serve from Alf and Ailsa which made him regret it somewhat. Brett actually returned in 2001 and had a short romance with Sally—but he had trouble controlling his temper with students and also bolted in a panic when Woody held up Sally's class. In the end he decided to resign and travel the world. Edit: Forgot to mention he also returned for a couple of eps in 2002 when Summer Bay High was facing closure—by that point he was working for the education department, and just after he left Sally happened to receive some leaked documents from the department which would go some way into helping them save the school.
  9. Probably best for us not to speculate on what gender the character may have identified as at the time, so I've corrected it.
  10. Harlem by Mansionair
  11. A few guest chararacter profiles uploaded over the past week, with thanks to various team members: Michael "Jonah" Abraham Devera Chapman Paulo Chapman Gary O'Connor Sienna Deacon Pat McGrath
  12. That's the episode I mentioned in your other thread, Episode 4069.
  13. There's a couple of different ladies, one of them is actually Lynne McGranger's daughter. But no, as extras they don't generally speak - I'm sure at least one of them has been named in conversation but it wasn't clear which one they were referring to.
  14. She changed her name after coming out of prison.
  15. It was around Parachilna and the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. They used the same place for the Braxton storyline in 2012 when Kyle kidnapped Casey etc.
  16. Yes he passed away in 2016. He actually had a Youtube channel with a handful of videos reciting poetry. As for Saul, in my opinion he was one of the best villains that the show has had.
  17. Yes, he's worked in real estate for a fair few years now (though did an indie film a few years ago).
  18. Two more profiles added - Laura Carmody, and Leah's father Theo Poulos
  19. It's that time of the year again, with @Red Ranger 1 having updated all the current regular character profiles up to the end of the 2018 season. Profiles for Hunter and Olivia are now complete, with newly added profiles for the those added to the regular cast in the latter half of the season - Colby, Jasmine and Dean. A shoutout to @Matt too for publishing the updates to the site whilst I've had to take some time away. https://www.backtothebay.net/characters/ Bookending those updates, we've also got a couple of profiles of more 'historical' interest - Gordon Stewart and Byron Fisher.
  20. She's got two roles - the Trolley Witch (the refreshment lady on the Hogwarts Express), and Professor McGonagall.
  21. February, she had 9 weeks off
  22. It's been confirmed that the show will return on Monday 7th January.
  23. And years later was said to have changed her name so that her father wouldn't be able to find her when he was released from prison.
  24. Whoever wrote that article probably got her confused with the English actress Emily Perry (best known as Dame Edna's sidekick Madge Alsop), who died in February 2008
  25. A few new profiles added over the last week, courtesy of @Matt, @Red Ranger 1 and with additions from yours truly, to flesh out a bit more history: Martha Stewart Tulip O'Hare (Alf's fling from 1987) Grace O'Connor (who we presume to now be Irene's daughter-in-law)
