I was. 12 in January 1998 and liked gypsy Vinnie and Sam. And Hayley the. Teens that I was same age. As were. Nick Duncan. After he was soarsed. And jade. And Kirsty But I leaft high school in 2003. And they were still there. Lol

Although I never really liked her anyway. And. Some. Great new additions I. Really liked. Nicole. She had an. Intreasting. Story arc the fact that she was drop. Dead. Beautiful didn’t bother me eaither plus. 2002 saw the return of iconic. Characters like. Martin and lance plus AIlsa as figimant of ALfs . Imagination. Due to a brain tumour. And some intreasting. Stories like the 150th celebration of the bay and ALfs 60th Sally and Flynn wedding saw pippa Steven and fisher return.

The early years. Definitely. For me personally ended. When AIlsa died although. I never liked the Sutherlands that much there first few months. Had them. Bedding in for a nearly 5 year stint and they were part of the later part of 2000 they will never be classed as. Classic characters the same way people think of Alf. Ailsa Bobby. Shannon. Etc but for me personally they fit in towards the end of the first golden era. It would not really enter a new golden period till 2002 till 2008

I only watch home and away and Corrie so can’t comment on emmerdale as I’ve only seen parts when my gran. Had it on eastenders is quite popular I believe I personally hate eastenders and hate holly oaks but I don’t think others do I believe eastenders is quite popular but not for me personally

Yes some regions of itv days got it at 510 after citv. Mine included some got it at 6pm. Then everyone got 6 pm when it moved to 5 I just never got into neighbours the same way I do home and away

The only characters I ever cared about being 20 somethings were Martin dibble and Vinnie come the late 90s to present day the present day late 20 characters were certainly. I am for one am gutted it was my birthday present. From my mum and dad I was looking forward to this so much as were many members of this forum I think some of the cast was a coup. Some ex soap actors. Never find work after they leave a popular soap and there for when the offer to return. Arises they jump at the chance. From what I seem to remember. Kristy has never done any other work since 2005 please correct me if I am wrong but some actors do go on to big careers after leaving a soap isla fisher. Chris hemsworth suranne. True. Joey arrived mid 1996. And Chloe earlier mid 1995. I watched Chloe’s departure recently and she just kind of leaves for the city and that’s it isn’t mentioned. Again I don’t think. Till. Her return in 2005. I always. Found Irene closer to selina who was a surrogate daughter than she ever was to Chloe. And then will Hayley and nick were her stepchildren kind of as Ken died on the big day so yeah but by 1999. Chloe was redundant as a character and as said. Joey was still living. Chloe was never really a character I really took too she was just kind of there in 1999 her exit seemed a bit of a run it’s course type thing Chloe was just not as popular as Shannon. Selina jack etc. and Just kinda. Kept on to give Irene. Another surrogate daughter after selina. Leaft don’t get me wrong I didn’t hate Chloe. Like i did. Rhys Sutherland. Dani and earlier Adam Cameron who I see as an awful character but she didn’t seem to do much.
