Just caught up! The Cassie chapter was awesome. I liked the detail that you wrote in there about how she was feeling; especially with the stuff about her and her uncle and how it kind of related to the situation with Kane. I don't usually like Cassie, but I really felt for her in that chapter. Loved the Kim/Barry segment as well. How awkward for Kim to have Irene explain something about his Dad that he should've known. Great two chapters!

Awww, just when you're finishing this! Okay well I've read 21 chapters so far and I love love love! In fact I don't know who I love more... Jack or Hugh! Great writing Rachel this is awesome. Poor Jack though. And Hugh went to jail! Ahhhh! I'll have to read the rest tomorow though as I'm supposed to be on the net "researching..." lol. That was definitely one of my favourite bits! My heart is still racing from the thought of it!

Great chapters ILM! I really liked how you described Steven's feelings and all the stuff with the fire. I love reading about that part of his character. It really gives him some depth. Everything to do with him was really well written. Poor Sal! The last chapter! You have me hanging. I can't wait to see it!

I agree with SkyKat on everything. You're an amazing writer and I just love all the ideas that you come up with. I have never been so captivated by someone's writing since I read a book called "Scented Gardens for the Blind" by Janet Frame. I like the fact that you've introduced original characters. It brings another dimension to the story and it's always good to have a different perspective on life in the Bay. Breezes had chased the clouds, stirred the blades of grass and caused the flowers in the children’s flower garden to bob their heads like old-fashioned villagers in a busy village market dancing and curtseying in old-fashioned greeting to their neighbours. Great imagery there, love your use of lanugage. Poor Steven though... I felt a shiver go up my spine when I got to the end... Honestly ILM, your writing is great and I've equated you with my all time favourite NZ author, so believe me when I say how very talented you are...

Sorry about your loss bay girl. Gosh, I love this fic so much, finally got to catch up!
