She is SO painful and cringeworthy to watch at the moment. It's like she has absolutely no self respect. I have absolutely no issues with a girl being forward but her continuous throwing herself at him when he makes it clear he's not interested, only for her to turn around and basically try and hand herself to him on a platter when he's told her that he's still into his ex. URGH- it's cheap and it's embarassing to watch. I loved her when she was introduced, she was so carefree and easy going, I guess they've sort of kept that element of her personality but this is taking it another unpleasant direction. It really, really is. Mix their irritating relationship with the fact alone that I hate when they introduce characters just to throw them into relationships straight away (I want to get get to know the character first) and it makes for an awful looking storyline on the horizon.

Angelo 35 Jack 58 Martha 37

Definitley not just you. I reviewed it a few pages back with pretty much the exact same sentiment. I almost found myself warming to her in some small way but for the majority of it my biggest issue was that the characters had no redeeming qualities- it's definitley not a film I want to go seeing again.

Aww I love the last three of Tessa. They're so cute! & the colouring is so pretty. I love the photoshoot ones as well and teh Jess sigs on the previous page- great text!

Martha hasn't moved on at all and if her over reaction to the supposed news is anything to go by she's disgusted at the thought. Roman hasn't done anything wrong either- he purposely kept his mouth shut about his feelings because he's a selfLESS person and wanted to be a friend to her. (On a side note I don't particularly think Hugo's done anything wrong either- he's just pointing something out when he thinks Roman's getting too close but I havn't seen the episode yet so I'll reserve full judgement.) I love both characters but I think this possible union would be ridiculous and this kind of obviousness is sickening. I don't like the idea to begin with but if they keep forcing it in my face (ESPECIALLY this quickly) I'm just going to reject it even more.

Jen you are incredible! Last few pages seriously = wow. Especially love all the Lucas ones. Lucas how I miss thee. Saved loads and I am definitley taking a Roman one from this batch! The colouring is stunning, partic on 9, 10 & 11 from the last row. Edit: I almost forgot, congrats on the green-ness. Suits you Kermit.

If I remember correctly she had 2 scenes & they were very small ones with barely any dialogue. She was supporting one of the main (?) characters- really can't remember specific details. But I do remember she had to run with him from something and because she has very expressive eyes, even in the very few seconds she was convincing. The movie was actually pretty good to so I think it's worth watching and Amy was a nice little suprise.

Revolutionary Road- I'm still stuck between deciding whether I was just dissapointed or I completely loathed it. I think I'm going to have to read the book to make up my mind on the actual story because I refuse to believe a movie with such SUPERB, breathtaking actors like Kate and Leo could be so devoid of any point. At the end of the movie I expect something that makes me go "ahh that makes sense now" or something to ponder, a movie that has enriched my life IN ANY small way or at the very least, be it cheesy or cliche or dramatically sad, something I enjoyed sitting through for a few hours. This movie was just not. It was misery, misery and more misery with no real point or conclusion reached at the end, and the most miserable part of it all was not how their perfect dream and life began to smother them or how their toxic relationship took on severe bouts of bi polar, it was that at some point you actually believe they do or did love each other. If there's any word I could use to describe the film that's not negative it would probably be real. The only thing I really enjoyed was that the "insane" guy was without a doubt the most sane person in the entire film. And without question Kate and Leo run rings around other actors of this day and age. I just felt completely detached from the entire film. I'm going to go watch Titanic now (even though I've never particularly been a masive fan) and focus solely on Jack and Kate- pretending there was never another movie made with the same actors.

Xavier Austin - David Jones-Roberts
Jamey-Maria replied to -Kevin-'s topic in Character/Actor Discussion
I agree with that. It seemed like it happened in the space of about an episode and then he left. Was I supposed to care about them as a couple? I really didn't. I do like what I've seen of him, although that's not enough to decide whether I really like him or not. But I do think he's quite funny -
I love those! Especially the first. I love, love, love the colouring!

That has awesome cropping Sarah.

I'm not totally shallow but I think I would very much hate the return of the old clothes. I detested that red checkered shirt so much. I like all the shorts and skirts and what not, and the new pics of her hair. It looks kinda funky, lol. They had her in some horrible stuff during the pregnancy storyline. There's nothing wrong with the hippy skirts but they put her in waist coasts and shirts when she was wearing one, it made her look like an old maiden, lol. I only really have one request when it comes to keeping things from her wardrobe. The boots must stay- because they're totally iconic to her.

I can see Martha and Belle as friends. They used to share a friend in Cassie (and to a lesser extent Matilda) Belle used to live with Martha's best friend (Tasha) and she used to date her cousin and her brother in law. Plus they've had speaking scenes, maybe not many but enough to make it believable that they could become friends. The idea I like the idea of Xavier and Hugo moving in with her seeing as her house has all the room now (and unlike Tony and Rach's place she doesn't need a nursery) If the writers should do anything it should be allowing her to become like family with Jack's new family. Not only would it be realistic but it's needed. That plus developing her friendships more. The character seems to have moved past stupid love dramas, please don't take her backwards. For the 1000th time I agree completely. They have enough currently already and it's not as if she hasn't already had her fair share!

I just realised how much Martha needs a friggen friend! I'd say Charlie if they had of bothered laying any ground work before their sudden "best friends" for-the-sake-of-the-episode chat last year when she came back from the retreat. But it's going to take a bit more than that for me to believe there's any real friendship there. The only person I can think of is Rachel and she's supporting Tony and protecting/worrying about her baby at this stage so it's not as if she's going to be of much help. -Angelo (supposedly) shot her husband so she's going to feel betrayed and disgusted when she realises she let him in. -Bridget is a lying, manipulative cow. 'Nuff said. -And the whole Roman thing is just messy. You can't possibly be good friends with someone when they're in love with you and bla bla bla. That just won't work. She really needs a friend. But on another note I think Jodi's been doing her best acting in this storyline so far. Tuesday's episode was heartbreaking, especially the scene with Tony on the bed.

Aren't you sweet Me loves these. The drelle one for obvious reasons and the Nicole one because the cropping is just awesome. The J & M ones make me sad, but they're fantastic!

Ahh thankyou so much for bumping this thread Jen! Jon is seriously lacking the praise he deserves when it comes to appreciation threads, especially after last night. It seemed strange when the promo for the episode was on and he only appeared to be talking but when watching the actual episode it all made sense. He's still distanced himself from it and he did such a spectacular job at playing the part. Although I pretty much had a continual flow of tears through the entire thing, I couldn't help myself when he called Jack "my boy" and when he said he hadn't felt it yet. The little scenes like him sitting alone on the couch and making the tea but realising he had to put them down when he had to answer the door were the ones were you could really see how dis connected he felt. And he delivered completely in the big scenes too, finding Jack's body and all the ones with Martha & Rachel. I still can't believe they'd do this to Tony but Jon is such a brilliant emotional actor it's going to make for great viewing to watch him go on this journey. I just know he'll make a terribly sad speech at the funeral too.

No, don't apologise. Just curious and a bit desperate to use some, lol. Now I remember you telling me you made tonnes of icons in 100. Thanks for the offer too, I'll let you know when I figure out which one I want to use (there are wayyy too many pretty ones )
-
I love this. The colouring is beautiful and the cropping is fantastic. I really like the ones of Ric as well. Well done Sarah.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeen. Oh I've missed you since you've been gone I just caught up on three pages of awesome work. I still love your colouring, it's so pretty. And the b&w icons are aweomse. And I LOVE your icon. I love the text on it, I miss Drelle. & those interview ones are so cute especially the "lol" ones of Bobby and Jess & Jodi and Paul. Now onto my complaint. Why do you keep making them 100, I want to use so many but I can't coz the board will stretch them! Lovely update though.

NO! Urgh, no Roman and Leah. Love both characters but I hated the idea a year ago and I hate it still. I dunno why, possibly the main reason being Leah is like furniture these days and no matter how much people seem to complain they don't give her storylines, so being with Roman would do one of two things, give her more limelight or drag him into the background and I have a feeling it would be the latter so again NO. Possibly also because Leah has a similar temperament to Charlie. I really think Roman's had enough of those high-maintenance-dunno when-they're-gonna-snap women. Jazz and Roman would most definitley make for a fun pairing but I don't like the fact that she's Miles ex. The whole dating your best mate's ex is kinda... tacky? Maybe he can defy SummerBay logic and stay single until someone else comes along or maybe I'm just too picky because I love him so much.

She didn't lock the doors so nobody could escape- there was nothing to escape from when she locked them. It was actually quite a pointless thing to do because all they would have had to do is call someone to come and open them (and I'm sure Bartlett or someone had a key.) The idea of charging someone a giving them a criminal record for what Melody did is ridiculous. She locked a door! Even smoking the dope isn't sufficient enough to get you a criminal record, most police would give you a warning.

I'm sorry but I beg to differ. It was a lot more than a handful and with comments like "he's so slimy with Belle and Charlie" and "loser cop" and it was all way before anything to do with the infamous chair incident. It happens when couples become popular and I don't think anyone can really deny that the person who gets in the way isn't unjustifiably slammed by a lot of people. It's a syndrome of every soap. It is their right not to like him even if it because he wasn't Aden (or whatever other reason mentioned) but I'm allowed to comment on it and from where I'm standing there was and still is a lot of anti Angelo purely because of his relationship with Belle. I;m not saying I havn't read a lot of good reasons not to like it but most are just because of Aden and Belle being apart. I don't want Melody next on the list.

Good storylines aside or not all I can say is I hope not. As if the poor girl doesn't cop enough flack as it is for the whole Geoff/Nicole thing. Could you imagine what would happen if she came between "the golden" couple? All you have to do is look at Angelo and multiply it by about 1000 considering Melody's already well disliked generally. Geoff and Melody where adorable when they first got together. Really, really sweet and I agree the naivety about them was what made it so nice to watch. They wouldn't work anymore though as something more than friends and Geoff and Nicole seem to work well. Geoff's moved forward where as I don't think Melody should be in a relationship at all right now. I think she shoule be in a clinic and getting herself on track.

Exactly. 1/3 of all people in Australian prisons have some sort of mental illness. You don't punish people for being sick you help them, you notice when something's wrong and you treat them. Preventing things is better than curing them. Maybe if more people had of taken notice of Melody's state instead of dismissing it as normal teenage angst (Miles) especially when she started cancelling her counselling appointments, none of all this would have happened in the first place.
