In my experience it's fathers who go crazy about gay sons: they seem to see it as an affront to THEIR masculinity. Thankfully a lot of them come around after a while, at least on the surface.

Thankfully it wasn't as bad as that when I came out. I get really envious when I read of teens who have fully supportive parents who accept boyfriends the same way as they would girlfriends if their son was str8. Looking forward to the next chapter.
