Morag has just finished her last stint for 8 years in the early years, involving a storyline where she tries to gain custody of Sam. Of course, when Morag returns Sam has left. It would've been interesting to see them interact some years later. The only time I can think of when they were both together was Alf's 60th. Was there any interaction between them during these episodes?

Scott also came in 2003 (about February).

She first appeared the night Angie died (which was April 2003, I believe). Scott set Rhys up with his mum for the party at the surf club. She went on to become a regular later in 2003. All in all she was probably a regular for 3 and a half years - but the 3 year contract isn't set in stone. Maybe the contract ended but she agreed to renew it for a bit.

I struggle to believe he's only 25. Though he perhaps has a youngish looking face, his bulk makes him seem significantly older. 31 would be more in keeping with Nate's age as well.

^I think Fisher showed development before becoming a regular. I don't know episode numbers off the top of my head, but after initially handling the situations badly, he did show something of remorse and an acknowledgement that things aren't always black and white after Carly's rape and the Nico situation, for example.

Happy birthday VJ. 13 today and not looking a day older than 21...

I guess the six months he spent hiding in his room involved him taking growth hormones and steroids. I blame Alex. He set poor VJ down this path of drug abuse back in 2007...

I don't think the language has changed that much. Just this week in the current show, VJ's bully called Leah a 'slag' - but it warranted a PG rating this time.

I also think her reaction to Leah's concern for VJ's hearing back in 2002 might have drawn on her regret: her initial opposition to Leah putting VJ above everything else (including the Diner) and then her eventual concession that she did admire Leah. There was also a scene during Alf's brain tumor story when Morag was babysitting VJ and she broke down. Of course she then said she was thinking about when Duncan was that age and how she was going to tell him about Alf's condition - but surely her lingering regret for her treatment of Bobby and what she missed out on must have been playing on her mind too.

Does anyone know what happened to the gym that Jesse and Hayley opened in 2002? Indi and Romeo opened a new gym last year - but I don't remember the old one closing... Actually, come to think of it, wasn't there a gym during Jesse's original stint? What happened to that one to prompt Jesse and Hayley opening the new one? And in relation to Irene finishing university and the jury duty/Corey storyline: the fact that Irene went to jury duty makes me wonder if she did actually finish university - because normally, if you're a student in Australia, you're exempt from jury duty. The jury duty was in 2005 when Irene was only in her third year of uni (or less given I believe she was only a part time student).
