Well, he doesn't kill him, but I'm sure that was just a typo. They might not go down the "suddenly I'm gay" route. I reckon Holly will reveal that she's known about Adam's sexuality for a long time, and has kept it secret for him from the other sister and the parents. If anyone will be suddenly "turning" gay, it will be Aaron.

No I think she was basically saying to Adam - "There's that hot guy, check him out.". If you watch the scene, the guy's girlfriend isn't even in it, Holly is just showing Adam the guy he probably fancies. Then Adam looks all uncomfortable and Holly teases him asking if he's going to go say hello to the guy. Watch carefully!

I'm excited abut Aaron and Adam. I like that Aaron is really unlikely as a gay character, whereas other recent soap gay characters have been easy to believe as gay. I thought Craig in Hollyoaks was gay way before JP arrived, and when JP showed up I instantly clicked that they'd end up together. Same goes for Syed in Eastenders. Before he even shared a scene with Christian I thought he was probably gay. Aaron on the other hand doesn't seem remotely gay which will make it interesting. There are big hints about Adam being gay though, he appears to have no interest in girls, and Holly showed him her friend's boyfriend at Aaron's party, as if to suggest he fancied him. I reckon Holly knows he's gay, but is keeping his secret. The scenes with Aaron and Adam have been nice, like the quad bike one, when Aaron cut Karl's brakes. You can tell Adam cares a lot about Aaron.
  4. The rain hasn't stopped all day in Ireland. The west of the country is totally flooded.
  5. I have sympathy for Syed to some extent, it is obviously very difficult for him being trapped in the closet and constantly trying to live up to Zainab's expectations. However, his father is a genuinely good man and doesn't deserve to be lied about and falsely accused of things, just to save Syed's skin. What I don't get about Syed is that he lived away from his family for years, and during that time he was free to do what he pleased and be with whoever he wanted, so why does he choose to keep up the pretense of being straight, when he could just go off again and live his life the way he wants? I suppose it isn't that simple though, he probably doesn't want to have to choose between his family and his sexuality.
  6. I don't know how long you've been watching Eastenders, but Lucy is supposed to be just like her late mother Cindy - a scheming b*tch. This isn't the first time we've seen Lucy blackmail someone, she was blackmailing Chelsea and Deano when she was only 13! I don't condone blackmail, but Syed is such a horrible selfish character, he kind of deserves it.
  7. Actually Eastenders was at an all time low with very poor writing and very crap storylines during the years when she wasn't around. I believe she returned towards the end of 2005 and 2004/2005 was a pretty bad year , the only best part of 2005 was the Dens murder storyline. That was pretty much the Chrissie/Den/Sharon show during that year. It was also quite bad in 2006, but Santerhas really turned the sho around and has pulled off some of the most amazing storylines the show has seen and introduced some fantastic characters. You're right Eastenders was dire back then, although Chrissie was an awesome character. That being said, I don't think the amazing success of Eastenders over the past two years is down to the presence of the Mitchells. I don't feel Peggy or any of her clan are essential to the the show, apart from perhaps Ronnie. What makes Eastenders so fantastic right now are the likes of the Brannings (except for Jack), the Slaters, the Masoods, the Foxes, the Jacksons, and the Beales, plus other floating characters like Shirley, Heather, Janine and Ryan. The Mitchells could be removed and the show would still be as great, and to some viewers even better. Peggy is a ridiculous evil dwarf, whose own sense of pride comes before her own family's welfare (e.g. ordering Phil to kill Archie). Sam is as bad as her mother if not worse, she is the product of Peggy's terrible parenting. Phil is supposedly a hardman, when in fact he is an overweight and over-50 joke who could probably be beaten up by Darren Miller. Roxie is an irritating and childish woman who clearly has no loyalty to her own sister. Billy is and always will be pathetic. Ben is a whining irritant, who is apparently a teenager, but behaves like a 7-year-old. Archie is alright sometimes, but can be a bit of a panto villain. Amy's just a baby so I won't slag her off. Jay isn't technically a Mitchell, and I think he's fantastic, so I won't count him as one. That just leaves Ronnie, who love her or hate her, is one of the most important female characters on Eastenders, so I wouldn't like to see her leave. I'd trade all of the Mitchells, except for Ronnie, for Grant and Courtney to come back.
  8. I can't stand Peggy, but who is going to scream "Get outta mah pub!" now?
  9. It isn't really Heather's weight that makes unattractive. It's the fact that she is completely pathetic and behaves like a spoiled child when she doesn't get her way, and whines on about her "Mummy", and has a teenage girl's obsession with George Michael, even though she is in her 40's. She also makes the worst of her appearance instead of trying to make the best of what she's got. Her clothes are always horrendously unflattering, and her hair is dreadful. I don't think she even bothers with make-up. I know I'm sounding superficial here, but there are plenty of people Heather's size and bigger who have no problem with forming relationships because they have the looks and the personality. Heather is just tragic. People of all sizes and shapes can make themselves more attractive with the right clothes and attitude, Heather doesn't bother doing either, so it is no wonder men are not attracted to her. Realistically, even Darren wouldn't have slept with Heather.
  10. I knew Darren was one of the possibilities, and hoped that they could have resisted going there, especially because I wanted it to be either Minty or Phil. I think Heather is enough of a joke, without the producers/writers making things even more cruel, difficult and weird for her. Also, never in a million years would Darren have slept with Heather. It's just ridiculous, I won't be able to take any scenes they have together seriously. This is like the H&A equivalent of Geoff getting Coleen pregnant. It's absurd.
  11. I'd love to see Roo back. It has been so long since she was in the show, and so few people would remember her, it would give the writers freedom to do almost anything with her. I could see her as a Jazz/Amanda trouble-maker type. They could write Barfa out and replace her with Roo to keep a Stewart in the Bay.
  12. You mean "Aunt Patricia"! Yeah they were funny tonight. It's nice to see some humor in Eastenders amongst all the usual doom and gloom.
  13. I very much disagree with you!! There was a big shipping for Geoff and Aden in late 2007/early 2008. Way before Adelle, when Belle was still with Drew. So Gaden does pre-date Adelle I'm afraid.
  14. Exactly!! 2 words - Get Lost !! You're forgetting that these days new characters don't require any personality or charisma, they just need to be "hot", and have a weird/stupid name.
  15. I'm glad the writers don't try to keep them apart, and allow the chemicals to react, even if nothing will ever actually happen between them. When Ric and Lucas were so obviously compatible, the writers seemed to make a conscious decision to never show them together.
  16. I don't know, I think Cassie and Mattie had a much closer friendship. Belle always seemed like an add-on to their group. As much as I dislike Belle and Nicole, I think ultimately their friendship was stronger than Belle and Mattie's.
  17. they probably won't go down that route. One day I hope Home and Away will have another gay couple, and it will turn out right, because Charlie wasn't a lesbian for very long. I'm actually happy with the Aden and Geoff friendship at the moment, because like you said, there aren't enough same sex relationships anymore. Sorry, my post may not make sense, I tend to ramble Knowing our luck as H&A viewers, they'll probably do it with bloody Jai and Xavier in a few years.
  18. That must have been what happened to Jack as well.
  19. I'm delighted Belle is gone, because now the "OMG ADELLE R SO CUTE, ADELLE 4EVA!!!!" phase is over, we can finally get back to pre-Adelle Aden, when he was much more interesting.
  20. Maybe Angelo's brothers will be like Martha, Roman and Aden's brothers, who are rarely/never seen.
  21. I think his name is ridiculous. Not really a surprise, this being H&A and all.
  22. Has anyone noticed that on the official site it states that Angelo has three older brothers, and his relationship with Belle appears to have been erased from the history books? Sorry if this has already been brought up on this thread, but I can't be bothered trawling through all 27 pages to find it. I just think Angelo's profile is interesting. Has he ever mentioned having three older brothers before? I'd love to see some of his family.
  23. There are so many things that bug me about Casanova's introduction. Firstly, why give him a surname as boring and normal as Smith, when his first name is so memorable? Unless he is somehow related to the Smith family who used to be in H&A. Even Luke Mitchell looks like he is about to burst out laughing when he has to say his character's name. Secondly, the actor simply cannot pass for 17, why did they make the character that young? It would be better if he were 19 or 20. To illustrate how ridiculous the age thing is - Luke Mitchell is two years OLDER than Christie Hayes, who is playing his foster mother effectively. Thirdly, pairing him up with Annie is just so wrong. He looks like he would get arrested if he went anywhere near Annie. Fourthly, while he is by no means unattractive, he is definitely not as good looking as they are making him out to be.
  24. That picture is so cute. They look like little boys who have gotten into trouble, and are being told off by Alf. I used to be opposed to the idea of Gaden, but now I like Geoff a lot more I wouldn't mind if the writers went there. They won't though.
  25. I'm currently going through my annual "I like Geoff" phase. Ever since he finished with Claudia, he's become more likeable to me, and the prospect of him getting with Ruby makes me like him even more. However, Geoff being Geoff, no doubt I will hate him again by the end of the year.
