  1. Episodes 4201-4330 now have short and extended summaries on the main site, meaning you can now catch up or relive with the entire 2006 season!
  2. I think for me that's sort of the point of this story. They're very early in the relationship as far as I can tell and it's all been very 'steady' so far, just dinners down the pubs and suchlike. It's certainly not a relationship built on lust, until today Ailsa hadn't been to Alf's house before, so I think it'd be quite unatural for them to have such a good chemistry right now. Perhaps 'unatural' isn't the right word, it's rather - some couples have it straight away, some couples take time to grow. It goes to show how much the show has changed when Pippa said "Fancy a game of...chess?"....and she literally meant chess. There are some very interesting dynamics being set up at the moment between Alf/Ailsa/Roo, Roo/Frank, Bobby/Carly, Fisher/The Fletchers...I think overall the first week has been a bit of mixed bag, but not bad for a first week - it's certainly left me wanting to watch more to see how the set-ups are developed.
  3. Please refrain from posting in capitals - it gives the impression you're shouting, and is generally frowned upon.
  4. I've no idea what all this baby in a dance club stuff is on about, but I know it's not on topic - so could we get back to that please!!
  5. Asking it once is bizarre. Asking it twice in a short space of time is....well....no less than I'd expect actually.
  6. THIS IS NOT A SPOILER THREAD. By all means discuss at Australian pace, but anything that has not yet happened on Australian screens is going to be removed, for the sake of those people who don't want to know. Please refrain from posting any spoilers here, or anywhere else outside the spoiler zone, in future.
  7. This thread is NOT to hound other people for web addresses, this is to confirm or deny the existance of MySpace or Facebook pages (though, frankly, why anyone would want to invade people's privacy in this way is a little disturbing - these are people are real and should be allowed a private life) - so please stop it. Yes gillyh. I'm talking to you.
  8. I think when Amanda first arrived they weren't quite sure how to play her - she went through her "bad with seemingly no motivation" phase when she killed Leo and covered it up, then went through a "I'm only bad because of Josh West phase"....then they tried to make her a bit of tragic anti-heroine, being in love with Dan but not able to have him. Then when she returned after a short break and they put her in the mansion she became more a cartoony bitchy "lady of the manor". Then I think she completely lost her way after she found out about Belle, as she was apparently trying to make everything up to her but still found time to sleep with Belle's boyfriend. Completely out of character given the place she was at. After that they did tone her down a bit, putting her with Peter and such like....and the I sort of lost interest during the Kelli Vale stuff and (not just for that reason) tuned out for a few months. Though, although she seemed to go from phase to phase without any real connection and was written primarily to suit exactly what they wanted to do with her as oppose to what she would do as a character.....I still can't help but like her. She was at her best when trying to balance her evil deeds with being a good mother to Ryan and I think they could've done so much more with that. My all time favourite Amanda scene is a pretty small one from late 2005 that I doubt anyone remembers - she was playing with Ryan, dressed up as a witch, and he asked her why she can't be a normal mummy, and she struggles to explain to her son why she does what she does - would've liked more of that. She was a lot better when she returned for Dan's funeral (though I think pairing her up with Jazz only highlighted how under developed she'd been) and I'm expecting good things from her current retunrn.
  9. I find Angelo extremely interesting. I think it's fair to say that dramatic license has been used to enable his return to the show, but I think the long term pay off is going to be worth the necesary suspension of disbelief. Home And Away has a history of dealing with the rehabilitation of criminals but this one is a unique case - first of all, he's killed someone and second of all he doesn't seem to think he deserves the constant attack of the community for something he has been acquitted of. It is more often than not that the criminal feels a desire to be submissive and take a lot of what is hurled at them, but Angelo has remained resiliant - and I think that's what makes him unique, his inner conflict between acquittal and guilt providing a wealth of potential material.
  10. Notes On A Scandal - one of my favourites!
  11. Extended episode summaries for episodes 4101-4200 have now been added to the mian site!
  12. The first 100 episodes of 2006 (4101-4200) now have short episode summaries on the main site, with the rest to follow in due course.
  13. I think the individual journey's that Nicole and Geoff have been on since their split would indicate a potential reunion. Nicole's experience's of Trey have shown that she needs someone reliable that will give her stability (which has been enforced by Roman leaving as well) - Geoff provides this. Geoff's experiences with Claudia have shown him that he can be a little more flexible in his attitudes towards relationships (I think the "no sex before marriage" ship has well and truly sailed now ), and also after the endurance test that was his relationship with Claudia, his probably looking for something a little more light hearted - Nicole provides this. I would be more shocked if they didn't get back together than if they did.
  14. I really like Kirsty now, and I didn't when she around first time around - but lately I've been watching some episode from 2004 and I do actually like her much more "back then" as well now. I hope she sticks around for a while, her role in SBH interests me - with Miles installed as a "father" figure one can assume she's the "mother" figure, but she's unlike any mother figure the show's seen before - she's young and still not afraid to live her own, headstrong, life which often leads her into strife. I always loved both Pippa and Sally but they arguably a little 'saintly' at times - and I always think it's imperfection which makes a character far more compelling.
  15. The first 6 weeks of the 2008 season (4561-4590) now have guest cast, writer and director credits added.
  16. Thanks Mistified ...I was indeed turning 21! My celebrations continue tommorrow, so Tuesday's guide most likely won't be up until Thursday, when you'll get a triple whammy due to the double episode in Australia. However, normal service will be resumed next week, just keeping everyone up to date on why it's not there!
  17. Please remember to use spoiler tags in this thread - if we continue getting lots of unconcealed ones, we may have to look into ways of making them stop. I know it can probably get confusing and/or frustrating sometimes not being able to discuss them in here - but as general rule, if it hasn't happened yet, put it in the relevant thread in the spoiler section, and if it has then pop it in here.
