  1. V For Vendetta. Loved his monologue near the start: "Voilà! In View, a humble Vaudevillian Veteran, cast Vicariously as both Victim and Villain by the Vicissitudes of fate. This Visage, no mere Veneer of Vanity, is a Vestige of the Vox populi, now Vacant, Vanished. However, this Valorous Visitation of a bygone Vexation stands Vivified, and has Vowed to Vanquish these Venal and Virulent Vermin Vanguarding Vice and Vouchsafing the Violently Vicious and Voracious Violation of Volition! The only Verdict is Vengeance; a Vendetta held as a Votive, not in Vain, for the Value and Veracity of such shall one day Vindicate the Vigilant and the Virtuous. Verily, this Vichyssoise of Verbiage Veers most Verbose, so let me simply add that it's my Very good honour to meet you and you may call me V."
  2. The Bourne Trilogy. Great action movies but I hate the fact that each has progressively less to do with the book it's named after than than the one before. Also, I half paid attention to Wall Street when it was on TV, since I'd seen the sequel about a week ago.
  3. Tomorrow When the War Began: made Red Dawn look like Toy Soldiers.
  4. Yes, they did it again. I was swearing at the TV all through the credits. Also, GoldenEye, still one of my favourite Bonds.
  5. Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back. Hadn't seen it in years, but the dub is actually not as bad as I'd been led to believe since. While the unintentionally hypocritical and anvilicious "Fighting is wrong" message is a chore to get through, the rest is pretty watchable. My feelings may change once I see it in uncut Japanese, though.
  6. Mulholland Drive. I was not as prepared for David Lynch's style as I thought I was.
  7. Yes! Eclipse was the best book & film. Do get around to reading Breaking Dawn because it's immense. Absolutely fantastic. Such great books & films. My family don't understand the whole vampire obsession but once you're hooked, you can't help yourself. It's like an addiction & you're not in control of who you are or used to be anymore. Lol. ... Believe me, I'm not that hooked. I should mention I've had Breaking Dawn on my shelf for six months now, it just hasn't been a priority.
  8. Eclipse. At least as good as the book. I must get around to reading Breaking Dawn.
  9. Toy Story 3. Equal to if not better than the second one, and possibly the best second sequel ever made.
  10. Toy Story marathon - gets better every time, and thank IPU Channel 7 didn't screw up the blooper reel.
  11. Watchmen. Up there with The Dark Knight and Iron Man 2. I'm now keen to see the two extended cuts.
  12. Carrie. I haven't read the book yet, but I have to say I hated the film's final scene.
  13. Iron Man 2. Better than the first, making it one of the two best superhero films ever made (along with the Dark Knight, naturally). If you watch it, stay to the end of the credits. You won't regret it.
  14. The Naked Gun trilogy. All great, if not as funny as Airplane!
  15. Short. Cuts. Totally lived up to expectations, although as far as Hyperlink Movies go, I think I prefer Magnolia and Lantana.
  16. St. Elmo's Fire. Seriously underrated.
  17. ^ Loved that movie. Friday the 13th Part III. More narmtastic than scary, but it was entertaining and not as unpleasant to watch as the first one. (No, I still haven't got over Kevin Bacon getting an arrow through the neck). They did a decent job with the Final Girl Chris as well. Her acting wasn't great, but she was better than average, if not up to the standard set by Sidney "Not in my movie" Prescott and Rachel Carruthers.
  18. Mrs. Doubtfire. About as funny as I remembered. Probably one of Robin William's best performances.
  19. Airplane (which I refuse to call Flying High, no matter what my DVD cover says). Still one of the funniest movies ever made.
  20. ^ Love that movie, possibly my favourite slasher. Poirot: Taken at the Flood. Not one of my favourites, but David Suchet is always good.
  21. Edge of Darkness. Good, but I'll have to rewatch the miniseries to make sure.
  22. The Negotiator: Samuel L Jackson and Kevin Spacey - how the hell did it take me so long to see this? Utterly flawless.
  23. I recommend the book. The film really didn't do justice to it.
  24. Red Dragon. As good as the book, almost as good as Silence of the Lambs. If only I could track down Manhunter...
  25. Signs. In spite of the idiocy of the twist ending, pretty damn effective as a thriller.
