I have a grammar question; I wrote an essay in English and got it back with a note at the end, apparently I spelled the same phrase two different ways. I'm confused as to which is right. Is it "your welcome" or "you're welcome" each person I ask givss a different answer to the one before!

If you want to say, "You are welcome", then it's "You're welcome". The apostrophe is there to show that letters have been missed out. If, however, you want to say "Your welcome was very nice", or whatever, then it's "Your welcome". I hope that helps and makes sense!

A critic has said: ‘the values of the World, embraced by Caesar and his success-pursuing followers, are shown to be mean and hollow’

To what extent do you agree with this evaluation of Caesar and his politics as presented in the play? As a starting point consider Act II, Sc.2 and Act III, Sc.12

Another Antony and Cleopatra essay, where do I start??!

I'd say start with the theme of corruption... the whole 'Rome was like a rotton apple, lovely to look at but with a rotting icky bit in the middle...'- the wordly focus/excess/greed during C's time was the beginning of the end for rome. These negative policies (as opposed to earlier, more democratic ideals- weakened the entire empire.

Look for support in the acts listed- but I'd say the question is definately on corruption/greed/power and the beginning of the end. (just a suggestion!) maybe google 'corruption/greed' 'Rome' 'antony and cleo' etc

good luck!

and- Im always praising this site- try www.questia.com- they have a free 10 day trial to their online site- bizzilion articles/books etc

Thanks for that, deadea. It's always reassuring to know that there's someone on the same wavelength as me when it comes to essay writing. :)
