I agree, the way she speaks fits the character. Dr Kelly was the same years ago. And her reluctance to get involved with Travis kind of mirrors the Kim/Rachel story.

I didn't think much of Rachel's introduction to the show. I hate the SuperDoc persona that they attach to whatever character in the show practises medicine, so it bored me. The Kim storyline also wasn't very interesting, but it was mainly a background story and let us get to know her.

I think this storyline with her parents is the first really good storyline for Rachel and it's come just at the right time. We have got used to her now so it's not like it's happening to someone we don't care about. At the same time, they haven't left it too long (like they did with Dan) before giving her a good story. The actress has really proved herself over the last few episodes. Good on Amy Mathews. She is a welcome addition to the show!

I think Rachel is great. She is prob my favourite charcter along with Sally and Irene (can't split them). Personally i liked the storyline between her and Kim, i thought she was great at the start when she was trying to tell herself,leah that she wasn't attracted to Kim. This recent storyline with her father i agree is the best shes had yet. She is a lot like Sally, they both are good listeners and are there for their friends when they need them most.

I agree, she is a good actress. and she made a very good start at the beginning of the year at the hospital and during the cyclone. New characters often take a while to take..but she immediately impressed.

I didn't like her at first, but she's growing on me. In fact, I think she is doing a great job, and her character is really likeable.

I've noticed they are gradually giving her a makeover. I didn't see the show for more than a month, and when I watched it four or five weeks down the track, I was shocked at how much 'prettier' they had mde her.

Maybe they noticed everybody was saying how old and wrong she looked with Kim!

I'm not a fan of Kim and Rachel to be perfectly honest...but I do like Rachel, shes a good character.

I like Rachel, she's different from your average soap beauty but I think her storylines so far have been pretty boring.
