pritnep Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007  VLC Player for the win! Well at least that is what I use to make all my caps and it does quite a good job. I use the shortcuts crtl + alt + s when taking caps.
Cal Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Pritnep, you change that shortcut just to S. Preferences > Interface (click the little side arrow beside it) > Hotkey Settings > (make sure you click advanced) > Take Video Snapshot (s).
.Amy. Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 I am looking to download vlc and I looked here, is this site OK? here
pritnep Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Oh thanks for that Cal. or http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ The one you are going to download/have download .Amy. is the portable version I guess if you don't want to install it on your computer that will work fine, same program though so doesn't matter.
Bloom Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Hey guys, I should tell you this if your version of Powerdvd 7 expires, you can still use it! How? After the window to buy it comes up, click Exit, and it was just relaunch! Movies dont play with sound though, for me anyway. and Powerdvd cant blame you for it, it's their porblem lol
Aquamarine Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Alright, so I'm currently playing my Secrets and the city DVD, and would like to make screencaps. I pause and hit the PrintScreen key. I then paste the screencap on paint and save it....but instead of saving my cap the picture is black. Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong? If it is neccesary to know what program I am using, it is "PowerDVD". Thanks!
.Amy. Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 You don't need to do all that, just hit: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/per...93/screen57.jpg
Bloom Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 or just press 'C' when u wanna make a cap after a while it gets VERY addictive lol and I used to print screen, it takes HOURS, not worth the hassle!
