Pacman Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Yeah sorry i just think if one donates and the other one doesnt then there is no point in donating. either way i think it wont be improved much, and if it is i dont care aslong as we post, i dont care what other features there are.
astogirl24 Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 What a useless post Pacman. No-one is asking for opinions here, you either donate or your don't. End of story. Are you bored?
MarMar Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I have toa gree with astogirl; there is so much to a board than just posting, and this is what Chris has decided to do (due to bandwith etc. We have a free-invison board for "Norwegian" H&A and it's really slow even though we're only about 10 active users). Deal with it and donate if you can to show that actually like and care about this board, or don't say it at all. Negativity is not something we need any more of. (This is just my own, personal opinion.)
AngelRose Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I hope people won't mind me saying, I can't give money but I'd like to think I'm helping a little by transcribing. I hope I phrased that correctly.
MarMar Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Money is not the only way to help the site out, and no one has to donate. It's all voluntarily.
purplesarah Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Can someone give us maybe an average, of what the 4 people who have donated so far, have given? I know you say it doesn't matter how big or small, and I know it is all anonymous to other members, but it's hard to know what is an 'appropriate' amount without being a tightarse or vice versa! Even if someone PM's me?
Chris J Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I don't want to divulge much information about it, but the calculated average has been £15.35. The most common donation has been £5, but there've been both higher and lower. But seriously, whatever you donate, nobody is going to think you're a tight arse.
Irish Fan Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Hey Chris, Can you pay by Postal Order? That's the only method, I'll be able to donate by. ~Irish Fan (Ben)
I love music Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Hey Chris, Can you pay by Postal Order? That's the only method, I'll be able to donate by. ~Irish Fan (Ben) Yep, I'd prefer to make a small donation by cheque. I don't watch H&A anymore but I do use BTTB as a free advertising space for my fics!
