That was really hard to watch.I agree that Jack's send off was a bit nothing, but given the circumstances i don't think they had much choice and they did well with what they had.

Poor Bart. I thought Charlotte would have given the guy a hug, I was waiting for her to do it, but she didn't. I would.

Charlotte could have hugged him too, but he was being rather stand offish, understandbly - I guess it just adds to the clinical and blunt storyline of Rickie's murder and Dan's departure. Pretty sombre scene though, I liked her reassuring wink, well played.

It's a bit hard to give a character a big flowery departure when the actor's thrown himself off a building. They probably didn't have a lot of scenes in the can to work with. I think they did a great job and watching the other characters talking about losing Ricky, knowing that the actors had all lost Mark, was especially heartbreaking. It's a miracle that any of them had the strength to do anything after that. I think I can cut them some slack if it wasn't the most exciting resolution to the season.
