Somehow i don't think he'll die cause the series wouldn't work with only one brother, although could be interesting if they had him die then turn into a demon. Sam and demon Dean fighting side by side as Dean's humanity is slowly stripped away.

What happened to their father? Is he still in hell?

I am not sure on that one they didn't really explain it. Then again I would love to see Dean turn into a demon and Sam having to kill him.

Nooo, you can't kill Dean. Sam would end up killing himself or getting himself killed out of guilt! Although i think Dean being a demon and working with Sam would be interesting
