Supernatural: Discussion Thread (Possible Spoilers)

It sort of takes the drama out of it. The way I see it, you've got these two guys against the forces of evil. That implies that there are forces of good as well, such as angels and god, but to actually bring them in suggests that what Sam and Dean are doing doesn't really matter all that much because God is supposed to have the supreme power of the universe, so whenever he wants to he can just put a stop to all evil. It's in Revelations, people! Sorry... What I'm saying is, to have an angel drag Dean out of Hell means that whatever Sam was doing all that time (developing his psychic abilities and whatnot) meant nothing, and Dean going to Hell in the first place meant nothing since he suffered for all of about three seconds and then he was fine through no doing of his own or Sam's. It's like a cheat. It cheapens the value of the characters and what they're doing because it's like God has officially stepped in and God is going to have more power than they ever will, so what's the point? Unless they're only trying to save themselves by getting in God's good books so that when all the seals are broken, God will save them and not leave them to be tortured by demons on Earth or whatever... but then THAT makes it look like all Sam and Dean care about is themselves, which has never been the case. They care about each other and about the people they try to save. It's cheap I tell you!

If I wanted to watch Touched By An Angel I would. And I do. And I enjoy it :). But that's not what I watch Supernatural for. It would be like if Buffy was rescued by angels at the last minute and everyone in Sunnydale was raised up to Heaven rather than having to flee and the town being swallowed up by Hell... Angels just make things too preachy. And confusing. There was a scene the other night where Bobby I think said that they had tallismans from every religion on the planet. By bringing an Angel in and having him be associated with God, does that make all of those other religions wrong, or are they co-existing and God is the only one who cares enough to actually help Sam and Dean? Or have the others been helping all along by providing equal protection against demonic forces...?

TOO MANY QUESTIONS!

Ah, to hell with it. More shirtless scenes, yeah. That should work.

I must admit that they did really screw with Sam's character. Sam working with Ruby to bring his powers well stronger is a really good idea. But Admittingly I do wish they would show just a little bit more of what Dean went thru when he was down there. Even if it is just flash back. Tiny snippets would do.

And yes MORE scenes of shirtless Sam ..

The country is in recession and I buy Season Three with my already very exhausted debit card.

16 episodes, though... I need more than that. Seriously, Supernatural is actually addictive! And it's coming up to Halloween, so it should be fun! ^_^ Season Four better be on TV3 next month. *runs to check TV guide*

I would make a mask but I think I would end up making out with it when I got a little bit drunk lol.

I love horror nights. And me and my best friend are planning a Supernatural weekend. Where all we do all weekend is watch every single episode till the most current one.
