Cal Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Katie Cassidy (OldRuby) was on a HUGE contract, but the show suffered money cutbacks, so they had to cut back on almost all of their guest characters. If there weren't any cutbacks, OldRuby would still be alive and in Season 4.

If there weren't any cutbacks, OldRuby would still be alive and in Season 4. Was that the reason why they killed off Bella or did they just feel that the character had run its course? It would have been great to have seen her in some more episodes. I really didn’t like her at all but thought she was a really good character. Sam and Dean saved her life and she totally shafted them (more than once). A very selfish person motivated by pure greed with a complete disregard for other people but a great addition and one of my personal highlights of season 3.

She would have appeared in Season 4 also. I really liked her too. She was a great character. I think the actor who played Ellen wanted too much money, so she couldn't appear again. And I don't know what happened to Jo or Bobby. It's a shame, really. The ratings are so low in the States. Only 4 million or something. I don't think it gets great ratings here either, probably due to the time it's shown.

I don't think it gets great ratings here either, probably due to the time it's shown. Yes showing it only on ITV2 or a late viewing on Friday night (when it was on ITV) doesn’t guarantee that you get great viewing figures. That’s bad news about the show not getting good viewing figures in the US. I hope that’s not a reflection on how good the series actually is because if that’s the case there is a possibility they could decide to cancel it, although you do think there has to come a point where they will think about ending it eventually. I think five seasons is enough for any cult TV program unless it is doing REALLY well viewing wise. Anymore than that and it just gets repetitive and you begin to run out of storylines.

claire-b Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Yeeaaaahhhhh i'm so happy its back, i missed my weekly dose of the winchester brothers (especially sam). Ive not had chance to watch the 3rd ep yet but enjoyed the 1st 2. I agree they should end it before it gets repetitive & boring but i will definately miss it. I just love the jared/jenson combo they work brilliantly together, it will be a shame not to have that anymore.

rising-flame Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 ep3 was good. wonder what yellow eyes end game plan is. There's rumours that Anna will return, so maybe we get some more angel on human action to go with the demon on human action from Sam and Ruby
