I watched 'Wishful Thinking' and 'I know what you did last Summer'. I wasn't too happy with 'Wishful Thinking'. I loved the last scene between Sam and Dean. It made the episode for me. It was done brilliantly. But the rest of the episode fell short. The humor didn't feel right. The humor on this show is always written well and here it felt like something out of a slapstick comedy. The 'Teddy Bear Doctors' line, Dean getting beat up by a kid, and the suicidal Teddy Bear were abit funny. As well as Sam and Dean's puzzled expressions throughout the episodes. I can see why they are adding all these lighter and funny episodes now though because once they get further with this Sam going evil/Dean's stuff plotline theres probably not going to be chance for them to have episodes like this.

'I know what you did last Summer' was definitely better. Jared really shined in this episode. He was awesome.

I like Anna. So far she is interesting. I'm not usually a fan of the damsel in distress type characters(theres only a few I've liked) we usually get. Pretty girl who's usually smart, brave and witty enough but need saving and protecting from the boys. Apart from a few changes to their story they all basically feel the same. Anna seemed different. She was interesting and I was left wanting to know more about her. Apart from being interesting she also had some funny lines. I liked Dean reply to her 'The Dean' comment and well as her reply to him making a comment about her getting locked up there when she was just tuning into angel radio  . Also her comment about some of the angels not liking Sam so much.

The Dean and Sam angst was really good. They seem to be growing further and further apart from each other.

As for Ruby this episode just worked to make me more suspicious of her. It felt like she was trying to hard. When Sam kept repeating throughout the episode about how she saved his life and the flashbacks with her trying to get him to open up and let her in just made it seem more like manipulation rather then caring. Like Sam coming to the point where he relies on her, trusts her and feels like he owes her because 'she saved his life' is exactly what she wanted. As for her using a almost dead girls body I might have found it nice if she had done that from the get go instead of only doing it to please Sam because he kicked up a fuss about it. She seemed pretty okay with possessing anyone. Which seems weird considering she's always going on about she remembers what it's like to be human. If this was the writers attempt to prove that she is on the up and up then, for me, they failed. Also having Dean seemed thankful of her felt like the writers trying to hard to make it seem like she was genuine. They should have left it at him beig around her but not saying anything mean. It would have been more him. While I may not be convinced of Ruby's motives I did enjoy the flashbacks. I understand Sam sleeping with Ruby. He did try and resist. And after being isolated from everyone and just being on his own it's not hard to imagine that he would give in, especially with how she tried to convince him. It's also helped to see how much he's changed since the beginning. I liked the crossroads demon comment about once again one of them is there. I was thinking the same thing when I realised where Sam was. I loved watching Sam deal with life without Dean. The actress who played Ruby improved alot during this episode too.

I enjoyed it even though some of the stuff confused me abit. Firstly the reason Ruby gave for Lillith letting her come back. Would Lillith really send back someone to kill Sam who was actually working with him before, and has been outsmarted by the boys at times before. Also Lillith had many oppurtunities to kill Sam, when he offered his life in exchange for Dean's to the crossroads demon and using someone has powerful as Alastair, yet didn't. Secondly the bit in the end with their(esp Dean's) reaction to Anna saying 'they' are coming. They were acting as if they thought 'they' meant demons. Considering Anna can only hear Angels, as far as they are concerned, why on earth did they react like that. And you would have thought Dean wouldn't be so surprised that it was Castiel entering. Considering the lights flickering and the wind and all that was similar to what happened the first he saw Castiel. Thirdly the demons watching Sam and Dean's motel room. If they were there, in the hallway as Ruby said, to watch incase Sam and Dean went to Anna then why didn't the demons follow them when they walked out of the room to go to see Anna. Lastly the fight with Ruby, Sam and the demons. When Ruby picked the knife and stabbed the first demon, she could have easily stabbed the second one within a second and then turned around. Instead they had her stand there with the knife in her hand the demon right in front of her doing nothing and she turns around to tell Sam to take the girl away. They weren't in serious situation that they needed to get the girl out there in an instant. All she had to do was stick the knife in the demon and situation solved. I guessing the whole idea was to have Ruby save Sam but get almost killed by the other demon so Sam could end up using his powers. It wasn't executed well though. It was done horribly and just made Ruby look incredibly stupid for standing there with a demon in front of her who wasn't fighting back in that second and was ready to be killed and her deciding to turn around and talk to Sam instead of killing it.

There was too little Castiel. But it fit with the plot so I'm not complaining. Even in that few seconds he still rocked. I can see why the Angels would need to kill Anna. Uriel just doesn't like talking to humans, does he? Looking forward to that next episode now.

I was wondering if someone could answer a question. Obviously Sam and Dean don’t have paid jobs. Their main purpose is to go gallivanting across the US seeking out and hunting mythical creatures and entities. What I don’t get is how they have the money to do that. Obviously their family weren’t rich so how can they afford to stay in hotels, pay for petrol, ammunition etc week in week out?

Credit card fraud mainly. It's been mentioned quite a few times by Dean and Sam. Also winning pool games and such. I know theres a word for what they do with those games but it's not coming to me right now. An example of that one is in a scene in 'I know what you did last Summer' just before the boys see Ruby.

*ahem* Count me in on the Castiel love. I would be more than happy if it became the Dean/Castiel/Bobby show....

Oh and to those who worry that Season 5 will be the final season. I wouldn't worry about what the writers say because the writers of Smallville said the same thing and that has been picked up for the 9th Season !
