katya Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 English literature. For the essay due in on Thursday I have to compare two children's novels but I've only read one of them :-|. Are you at uni?
Guevara01 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Well the good thing about children's novels is that they aren't usually too long! Depending on the age, of course. I'm at college at the moment, should start Uni in 2007 - if i pass my exams! xxx
katya Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 cool, what course do you want to do? I thought children's novels would be short too but I was wrong. Most of them are over 300 pages in tiny print. Damn the children's authors!
Guevara01 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Thanks for the vote of confidence Merc! I want to do English Language at University Katya, it's my favourite subject. What novels are you reading? xxxx
katya Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I'm reading To Kill a Mockingbird and Doing It for the essay on Thursday, but I've got loads of books I want to read for pleasure that I don't have the time for right now. Are you reading anything just now?
MarMar Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I've never read that one, but heard a lot about it. Would you recommend it?
Guevara01 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 To Kill a Mockingbird is a fantastic book! At the moment i'm just reading books for my A Level courses, Sara Thorne's Mastering Advanced English Language, and Wise Children. xxx
katya Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 To Kill a Mockingbird? I would definitely recommend it, it's funny and and it's told through the eyes of a nine year old girl, so there's something really refreshing and innocent about it. What's Wise Children about Guevara?
