MarMar Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Because they have lots and lots of prettyness, and they're cheap, and they ship for free and it's so easy to "accidentally" add stuff to the cart and proceed to checkout.
Guevara01 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 What other subjects could you do? I could do anything i suppose, i did well in my GCSEs, but i'm fussy and there's a lot of stuff i don't like! Merc - I also accidently memorised my mum's credit card number, so it makes it even easier to accidently proceed to checkout xxx

Right on! Guevara I think you should do Sociology, it's really interesting and there's a lot of different angles to it. It's not boring unless you do the research stuff. I still don't know the difference between quantitative and qualitative methods of research. i can't even say the friggin words!

MarMar Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I am currently studying for a Bachelor on English language and Culture, and I am suppose to choose from Religion, History, Norse, French or German next year (yes, it's a small university), because that's the other subjects in my faculty, but I'm gonna apply for sociology (one year) as well, and if I get accepted, apply for a "free bachelor" (so that the years of sociology adds in with two years of English for the Bachelor's degree).
katya Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Well it's either that or Maths/Science - which i dislike intensely! Me too! I was so bad at them. I am currently studying for a Bachelor on English language and Culture, and I am suppose to choose from Religion, History, Norse, French or German next year What do you think you'll go for? I always wish I'd done History

MarMar Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Problem is, the university web-pages suck when it comes to listing the different courses within the subjects, so I have to go talk to someone who knows something, or get a brochure or something (if they list the courses there)... I won't take German or French, because I didn't do those in High school/seconday school. I took French when I was 13, but not enough to actually survive that subject. It'll probably stand between Religion and History, although religion (1st years, the one I will take) clearly focuses on Jesus and Christianity, which I'm not that keep on.
Jess Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I've just chosen my A-Level options. I'm taking Philosophy and Ethics, English Literature, Italian and Biology. It's kinda scary though because even though I'm staying on at the Sixth Form that's attached to my school, so I don't need any particular grades to be able to stay on, it dawned on me today that Universities look at your GCSE results when choosing people to offer places to 'cos at this point you won't have got your A-Level results....so in short I've got to get as many A's and A*'s as possible and the thought is seriously beginning to freak me out...it's giving me nightmares! I wanna go back to Year 10, when we were all carefree and innocent! xXx
