Problem is, the university web-pages suck when it comes to listing the different courses within the subjects, so I have to go talk to someone who knows something, or get a brochure or something (if they list the courses there)... I won't take German or French, because I didn't do those in High school/seconday school. I took French when I was 13, but not enough to actually survive that subject. It'll probably stand between Religion and History, although religion (1st years, the one I will take) clearly focuses on Jesus and Christianity, which I'm not that keep on.

It might be better to talk to someone in person, you might get a more accurate idea of what the courses are like. And I take it Religion should actually be renamed Christianity?

I wanna go back to Year 10, when we were all carefree and innocent!

God, tell me about it! I'd love to go back to being a kid and not worrying about things. I'm sure you'll do fine though, you just have to study hard! Isn't that a depressing thought? But it'll be well worth it.

Yeah, that's a good way of putting it... I wish they would focus more on other religons... Norway actually has Christianity as state religion. Every child has to have Religious (Christian) teaching in school... (although the Norwegian Humanist Association are currently, and have been for the last decade or so (almost) tried to change the law so that parents can choose whether their child should have the subject or not, like it was when I went to elementary school).

I agree that University web pages tell you nothing, i spent the whole day looking into courses, only to find that they're only willing to give you the title of the course! I also think, Katya, the trouble with asking someone in person is that, if like me, you want to go to a Uni far away, how do you get there? I'm broke and not yet old enough to drive!

Hypo_gal, i'm sure you'll do really well in all of your GCSEs, they're not as bad as teachers make them out to be, that's what i found anyway. I failed loads of my mocks and i'm fine now!

Seriously? That's quite scary! When I have kids I'm sending them to a non-denominational school (which my parents will hate cos they're quite religious), because I don't think religion should be taught in school. That's just my opinion though.

Bye Mercury Girl x

That's a very good point Guevara, I just take it for granted that not everyone's uni is a wee train ride away, lol

I think that as long as all religions are fairly represented, it's okay to teach in school. My GCSE RE short course was on Christianity and the Islamic Faith. I've also studied Sikhism, Buddhism, Judaism and others. My teacher even did a term on Paganism!

EDIT: I do have a Uni a train ride away, but i want to go further!! xLOLx

I wish I had gone further away to uni, I think it would make me much more independent now instead of relying on my mum to do my washing and cook me dinner lol.

Well i'm going to have trouble with stuff like cooking - i can't do it at all, my cooking is like a salmonela breeding ground.

But, i think i need to be away for a while. xxx
