Tamxxx
She couldn't refer you to a psychologist? With the problems you have described earlier, not only depression, but also eating disorder, you should go talk to someone professional. I didn't tell her about my eating problems, I was to scared to Im sure epilepsy is curable, it can go away Yeah I wake up every day and dance about yippeee I still have epilepsy . What do you think? of course I wish it could be cured. But I'm stuck with it until a cure can be found. I think there is different types of epilepsy, my friend she misses alot of school because she has fits sometimes, If you take the medication, Im sure it will be alright, my friend told me that she doesnt feel like eating too much because of the medication she takes. MarMar
My boyfriend's mother is heavily medicated, but she is not alright! She cannot work, and is constantly in and out of the hospital, even though she has not had a seizure for over 10 years. Think before you write, as you have been known to hurt members before. Tamxxx
It does differ with everyone, for some people its worse, my friend said she was quite upset as they could increase her medication, I once saw in a documentary about a kid who had epilepsy and they implanted, a small chip, in his brain whcih actually controlled his fits, and he had less seizures, by the way can you have a drving license if you have epilepsy? MarMar
Of course it is different for everyone, but... Epilepsy is not cureable at the moment. Yes, you can drive. In Norway you have to be seizure-free for 5 years, and you have to hand in your licence if you have a fit.

Emmadolly
The doctor was very , very nice. She said she'd prob feel the same? if she was in my shoes so to speak.. She said I was bount to feel like this, as its such a big thing for the both of us. she said I could not be put on any more fluxoxetine (prozac) as I will have to take more Gabapentin(epilepsy meds). As the fluxoxetine makes the Gabapentin work less so I need to take more Gabapentin so my epilepsy stays stable. But my epilepsy meds slow my brain down (nothing new there then ), which makes me less awake. (nothing new there then too )... So I can't win either way can I ? I can ring the crisis team(mental health) anytime I feel not so good, and talk to them. Then I told her about this pain I have had on and of for a couple of weeks, I did a wee sample. It looked very clear But when she dipped it showed white blood cells. Meaning another stupid infection, second within a couple weeks. . She pocked and prodded me, she thinks I have something wrong with my bowels as well, due to the stress I'm under so I'm on medication for that to. But I can't take the meds until I have finished my meds for kidney infection. So how was everyone else 's day? XX I am sorry Di, you are having a really rotten time at the moment. Try and keep your chin up.xxx
