Tamxxx Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Liz- Which subjects are you taking for your GCSE exams? Im taking: Double Science RE English Literature English Language History French Geography Maths You're doing basically the same as i was, except i took German (not French), and Statistics. I didn't revise for my GCSEs but still did really well! xxx Some people dont revise and they end up getting good results, Im the type of person If I didnt revise I would do really really bad, Im not logical, nothing stays in my head for that long, I was revising history the other day and I just forgot some of the points, which shows that I have a poor memory. I have to work my socks out to get good results Buy a tape recorder and speak into it, play it back to yourself. That helps. Also buy flashcards and write the main points on them. Highlight them - colour is proven to help memory - and stick them on your wall. That's my best advice anyway. xxxx Ive never tried this technique before I think I will, thanks
Guevara01 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Thanks, Buffy! I'm sure that I will do really well and my estimated grades were excellent. I just have to revise alot and live up to it! I think the worst thing about having good estimated grades is that if you don't do well - which i'm sure you will Liz - you feel really disappointed with yourself. I got a B in Stats and i was upset with myself - mind you i walked out halfway through the exam! I had to move halfway through year 10, so my new school didn't have any estimated grades for me which was good! Thanks Buffygirl by the way! You're welcome Tamxxx
Liz Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I am predicted Bs in Maths and Stats - the only grades below A. It makes me even more determined to do better!
Guevara01 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I was predicted to fail Maths, Stats, and possible Science. HA, showed them! xxx

Liz Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Don't worry about it. I am a total perfectionist and I'd kill to have lower standards to live up to.
Guevara01 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Don't worry about it. I am a total perfectionist and I'd kill to have lower standards to live up to. I'm exactly the same. Tamxxx Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Don't worry about it. I am a total perfectionist and I'd kill to have lower standards to live up to. How do you get good grade likes that, do you revise lots? Im worried that Im not doing enough revison, I do 30 mins revision and then have a 30 min break, and it keeps going on like this as a routine
