Liz Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Don't worry about it. I am a total perfectionist and I'd kill to have lower standards to live up to. How do you get good grade likes that, do you revise lots? Im worried that Im not doing enough revison, I do 30 mins revision and then have a 30 min break, and it keeps going on like this as a routine I think that I am just naturally an academic person. Revision-wise, I'll revise for at least an hour and have a 20 minute break. Do your school teachers offer revision lessons? If so, take the oppertunity, because they really help!

Yes they are offering 2 days easter revision classes in school during the easter holidays, the thing is I cant understand what the teachers say in class so every time I revise, I just sit and get all my revison books and just memorise, it say all the points out aloud, or write some down from memory, and thats how it goes into my head
Guevara01 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 ^^ How you can sit down for an hour to revise is beyond me Liz. I can barely sit down for five minutes and concentrate. I just remember stuff i guess. Like i remember Heath Ledger's Birthday and where he was born, even though i haven't liked him or read anything on him in years! xxx Tamxxx, i sometimes find it easier to memorise a hard subject if i have a conversation with myself about it. So ask myself questions, then answer them in as much detail as possible. Another good way to revise is to hold of get as many past papers as you can - usually from the exam board websites - to familiarise yourself with the format and type of questions asked.

Liz Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I have to physically force myself, Clare. It's difficult, but it will benefit me in the long run.
Guevara01 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I have to physically force myself, Clare. It's difficult, but it will benefit me in the long run. I find it easier to revise if something else is going on. No sound - because that's distracting - but i always keep the TV on mute. I can't force myself ... i have no willpower at all xxx
Emmadolly Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Hope you all do well with your studying girls.
MarMar Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I have been thinking tonight... Not sure for how long, but; I have all these feelings. I can't describe them. I'm angry, I'm upset, I'm mad, I'm depressed. I want to die. I want to live. I want to scream. I want to sleep. I am not in a healthy place right now. I have not been for a very long time. I do not know if I will ever be healthy again. I am not sure I will post here again. I will continue to do my moderator duties. When I am logged on. Until next (?) time...
Emmadolly Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Hay hay. Hang on a minute Mar. What is going on as this is not like you at all.
MarMar Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I... I'm not really sure. I'm just now.. a "happy camper". I guess I'm heading for another period of not getting out of bed.
