I tend to read a lot of language books. Currently working my way through The subculture reader.

I read fiction as well; favorite authors are Poppy Z. Brite and Caitlin Kiernan.

I buy more than I manage to chew my way through, though.

Have you read Sara Thorne's Mastering English Language It's really useful, a sort of textbook. Don't know if it would be in depth enough at your level.

I bought Toni Morrison last week! First time I've read her though. Reading "The Bliest Eye".

The Bluest Eye is awesome, we studied that this year. If you like it, you should read Sula, it's probably Morrison's best known novel and it's fantastic
