I Love Mark Furze Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 A nice scented cream for bikini line? I've used Veet/Immac before, and still have some left, but it has a very unpleasant smell. My Mum gave me a rose scented one once but it was a door to door sales person that was giving them out. I was wondering if you can get nice sented ones in any Chemists or anywhere else? The ones i've come across all seem to be nasty smelling. I've never tried waxing before, i've had many a bad report on that regarding any area of the body. I was considering getting my eyebrowse waxed and keep saying i'd like to try it, but i think it costs a bit and i think i'd chicken out, i'm not a great fan of plucking either, but i'm told my browse aren't that bad, but they just look a bit too thick to me. Razors are rather a bad thing to use in the more sensitive area and when you get cut, it feels as bad as a bloody paper cut. If anyone could give me any tips, it'd be much appreciated. Half the time it feels like women are more hairy than men, they have such an easy ride. You even find hair sprouting out above the lip these days. I feel like i've aged 30 years in the last year or so.
MarMar Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 All I know is that you're supposed to use anti-septic/anti-bacterial on the area after you shave, as I do... I would not use anything with a "scent" down there!

I would not use anything with a "scent" down there! If you don't mind me asking, do you use a blade or an electric shaver? I have both, but i don't really like to use either down there, i have tried it and it stings and hurts like hell for days after.
MarMar Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I use an electric shaver when it's "been a while" to get most of it's away (I don't just shave the line, so to speak), and a blade for the rest.
Mez83 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 You aren't supposed to used anything scented down there. At all. The stuff that makes it scented can cause bad things to happen. I use veet. Waxing hurts, but only for a minute or so.
MarMar Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Veet.. stings.. here.. on me, that is. I actual had Live Journal post about scented tampons yesterday: You have perfumed tampons in the US? How can that be healthy...? Comments (most from US citizens): Ewwww!! But that'd be like, so bad! I know a few people who are allergic to the stuff they put in scented things.. *shuffles uncomfortably* .. it doesn't bare thinking about really does it? eep! *sigh* sometimes that country REALLY makes me wonder. Then I just shrug and watch Rogue dance. I don't know, it's terrible. Even more terrible when those are the only ones in the house ::twitch:: It's just another addition to the artificial and concealed society we live in.. My reply: Yeah, and I am pretty sceptical about using regular tampons too... Reply back: well, when there's no pads, and all there is..is those evil things, one has to make a choice. i hate all this scented crap that's around. Leave sent to cleaners and perfumes, kthnx I'm sure it's not, but people here seem obsessed with putting really horribly fake scents in everything, like the smell of a clean human body is somehow something to be hidden. blah. Everyone smells like bad chemicals. I'm fortunate that my parents had enough sense not to use heavily scented things when I was small, and most scented things went away when my father started having bad migraines that were made worse by stinky stuff. Overbathing is bad. Combine that with overscenting, and it's a wonder anyone can smell anything real and living. This is one example of why one of the richest of the developed countries spends so much more on health care, and yet doesn't have a life expectancy rate that is comparable. Welcome to my world Yes, they're called "scented for freshness" and they are NASTY. I used one. Once. A long time ago. Never again. They should be called "yeast infection gauranteed" They are evil. Ja...and I think they put Perfume in EVERYTHING... Because I buy some that do NOT say Perfumed... BUT THEY ARE. Freaks the Hell out of Me... Now Noxious Flower Perfume makes me think of Bleeding.
Mez83 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I'll have to. Our new flatmate won't know what's hit him otherwise!
I Love Mark Furze Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I don't use tampons either. I really don't know how i'd cope if i ever got pregnant, i'd die at the thought of giving birth, lol.
katya Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I have a phobia about giving birth I think. I was never particularly fond of the idea but it never really bothered me until I watched a show called Desperate Midwives, and I watched a woman give birth. I didn't actually see anything but her reaction was enough to put the fear of God into me. I honestly think, if I get pregnant, I'll be a nervous wreck for the entire nine months.
Mez83 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I use veet. It works well on me. I get no stinging or anything, but I know others aren't as lucky. I also find tampons so easy to use. The thought of a scented one makes me shudder.
