I just tried one of those Tampax tampans. I usually use OB, if I have to, but now: Tampax. I've never used one of those applicators before. Weirdness was felt.

I've never really understood what the 'tube' is for.. Really scary!

I think one theory is that the tube is for people who are overly fastidious and who don't like the idea of holding in their hands...which are covered in all sorts of horrendous germs.....something which is about to be inserted inside of them....but when you think of all the other things which a girl uses...well that thory seems a bit daft....

Marieh: read the instructions and there should be no problem!

Frankie: weird people. Those people probably want scented tampons as well.

Neve bought them-. My sister gave me one as a joke when I was 13 I freaked ut when I opened it.. lol

I much prefer applicator tampons as I'm not relaxed enough to insert them manually.

Tampons and me don't mix. I would actually need periods to actually use them.

I don't see what's so different with applicators than using "normal" tampons.. a stick-like thingy goes in either way...

Is it so where you live, that you need her permission?

I started on the pill when I was 15, after my mom suggested it (I was sexually active, but had been using condoms with my boyfriend). If she needs to know, just ask her to come to the doctor with you or something.
