buffygirl Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I much prefer applicator tampons as I'm not relaxed enough to insert them manually. Try lillets..... they are by far the most comfortable. ..I find tampax quite uncomfortable to wear..applicators are not the problem. Lillets semm to be easer to insert and more comfortable, but each one of us is different we have to to the trial and error, phase, it will proberly change again as you get older. God i sound a oldie. You are a oldie, the same as me LOL Lol.Ok Emma dont rub it in!
Emmadolly Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 It is so unreasonable to pay for your pill, as it would stop so many unwanted pregnancies. Thankgod we dont have to pay for them in the uk. They may be used for birth contol, but i first went on the pill for health reasons, when my periods were bad. After the pill became free for girls 16-19 and the day after-pill (emergency contraceptive) was sold over the counter without prescription, the number of abortions went drastically downwards. It would be madness to stop such a great effect. It should be free for every woman, but granted with the young teenagers they should be monitored, so that they also use other precautions also. There has been a dramatic decline in teenage pregnancies, since the morning after pill, that they can buy in the chemist. I am still not sure about a school nurse being involved though, as i would hate for my daughter to have advice from her, and take the advice rather than talk to me. But that would be in an ideal world. I also think it is p**s take from our governments, that they put VAT. on tampax, tampons, pads. when these are needed items, not luxuory ones. Rant over girls. lol

Si-Co Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 We don't normally compare notes about the best brand though! Actually, I find Mates last much longer than Durex. Or is the idea to use a new one every time? I find if you turn them inside out and give them a quick rinse under the tap they're good as new an hour or so later.

" why look you must know what us women are like" As for that surely turning it inside out it's not so protective although you can carry on for a while?

If you continue to rinse it out under the tap, in a few weeks you could re-cycle it as a bin bag, as it will be so stretched by then. LOL
buffygirl Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Totally would by then ^^^. Like a rubber dukling, it'll streach, but of no use.
