I used to be really shy, and to some extent I still have shy moments. I never used to have anxiety attacks or anything so I was lucky in that respect and I can't even imagine what it's like for those of you who do.

I came out of my shell a lot when I did a school exchange to Germany. You can't really afford to be shy when you're on the other side of the world, speaking another language. I went in a group of 30 but the closest person to me out of that group was a 3 hour car ride away!!

I used to get really bad panic attacks when ever I went near a door, but last year I got a bit better, I got a job at a nursery and I was getting on ok, I made a fantastic friend Monica, she was like my mum, she LOVED Home and Away and all the soaps, but then one day, this new girl started and she started picking on me saying I was a slut because I used to have a laugh with this guy called Rob who used to work there.

She used to undermine me, tell me how much food to put on my plate at lunch, told me to shut up I have nothing intresting to say. And bam my confidence went I had to leave my job, the only thing that made me happy, children and after that I couldn't leave the house without someone.

But now! I'm getting better, my Dyspraxia is going ok, my walking is improving I hardly need my crutches unless I go somewhere really long.

Thanks Penny. I miss my little car... I bought it with my own money and everything :(

I hope both you and Mar start feeling a lot better soon. I honestly can't imagine how difficult things must be for you.

Mar i am sure your good days are on thier way.

I am sorry to hear about your car, it is a pain in the butt when you have no car. Last year a right stupid c*w reversed out of her drive, forgetting the car was automatic ( recently bought), went backwards stright in to the neighbours front garden, but knocking the wall down the same time.

I would of laughed my ass off, but i was the driver. LOL

That is a terrible thing to happen to you, that would knock anyones confidence. It is nice to see you getting it back and enoying your self on the board.

Oh my God! I can't believe someone would make a comment like that to someone they didn't know, let alone at a recruitment drive, for the POLICE! That's awful...

Oh dear, Emma....
