Never heard of it!

Position wise, you need to get it in between the head pin (the front middle one) and one of the pins directly next to it.

You will see on the floor directional arrows, they will be your guide as that is the positioning of the pins in a straight line exactly. If you look at those directional arrows you need to place the ball in between the middle one and the ones either side directly next to the middle arrow. Hope that makes sense! You will see an improvement that way! It is a very technical sport, as I quickly realised when my father (who is an experienced league bowler) was teaching me when I started league.
