English Literature and ICT tomorrow. I should be fine wiht Eng Lit (providing that the essay question aren't too nasty), but I think ICT requires a little more revision than I have done (so far).

Oh yeah, the 'A'-Level exams come out earlier than GCSE don't they? Isn't it something to do with Uni applications or something?

Yeah, you use your AS results as an indicator on your University applications, which start as soon as possible after the exams.

Ah, so it's usual to begin applying for universities after completing the AS, not the entire A Level?

Yeah, the whole application process from start to finish takes about 6 months until offers, so you can't apply in the second year. By about Christmas of your A Level year, applications close.

Unfortunately I think it is, because you get offered a conditional place at Uni on the strength of your predicted grades at 'A'-Level. But I think there's some talk of the system being changed so that you apply to University after you've got your grades. (I think that's what it is anyway, I heard something about it on the nes this morning, but I personally find the whole thing very confusing and it will be a miracle if I can get through my GCSE's in one piece, let alone 'A'-Levels!)
