Gypsy & Will Fan Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Can i offer anyone a chocolate knob from Ann Summers?
MarMar Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Anyone here now.. Didn't say anything earlier, but I was this close *holds up index and thumb half an inch away from each other* to not go the exam earlier. Was running to the bathroom every five minutes or so.. really sick. Would have had to get a doctor's certificate, and would not be able to complete the course, as the re-sits are in the fall = no extra credit for applying to sociology (which is really, really hard to get into) next year
Jess Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Awww! Well done for going Merc! And I'm this *holds up index finger and thumb half an inch apart* that you haven't passed! You'll have done really well, and all the agro over it will've been worth it!
MarMar Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I really hope so. I have to pass that course in order to have a chance to get into sociology, which I really, really want... I don't want to do history! (Which I already have a place on because of Bachelor's degree thing).
Gypsy & Will Fan Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 You'll do brilliently Merc, I know you will!
Jess Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 For good reason! We all know you can (and will) fly it! Think positive! Or as my best friend chants at me in Chemistry - 'Positive mental attitude' LOL (I really do think I'll fail my Chemistry GCSE, I got a D in my mock exams)
MarMar Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 If you get a D you still pass! I'm sure it'll be ok! Also, I went to this really professional, clean and cool piercing place in the city today to get them to help me with my BCR which I had put it when I was in York (new piercings), and they were really nice. Have now ordered some steel circular conebells from bodyjewellery.com. I wanted black ones, but they were £15 each! If I ever get some, I'll cherish them for ever!
Jess Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I know a D is a pass, but there's just something, I don't know, *nice* ,about getting a C or above...and I think I just have really high self-expectation, I think that's half my problem.... Wow! I'd love more piercings but I'm terrified of needles (I've just got one hole in each ear)....I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to stuff like that, I'd have to have a general anaethetic, but then again they scare me as well, so there's no winning .....I really want the top of my ear done, but it's meant to hurt like hell and I don't know if I could go through with it!
Liz Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I think that I would prefer to do badly in the mocks, because I'd be more motivated to get my arse in gear and really revise and wouldn't have so much to live up to. But alas, I did really well in my mocks and teachers have such high expectations of me. I hate that kind of pressure.
