I've had major problems in shops, because when I go shopping, I have to take my 'chair because I can't walk very far before I want to collapse on the floor in a heap, so I don't have a choice. When I go to London, I use cabs there and it can be annyoing - hailing down cabs, only to find that most of them aren't wheelchair accessible.

I have to take my chair with me everywhere to,becourse i can't stand at all.

I have my own cab driver but he wasn't working early enough this morning for me.

I couldn't stand for 6 months and was in a wheelchair, that's when people were at their most patronising - talking to whoever was pushing me rather than to me, even people who knew me. It was scary.

I was at Macca's once and the lady asked my friend what i wanted. My friend said'' I don't know ask her yourself she can speak for herself''.Then we told my other friend about it and she barged up and had a go at the woman, saying i had a brain and can speak for myself and stuff.

If it wasn't so funny i would've felt sorry for the poor girl!

Have a good time Penny, happy birthday to your Mum, and have lots of crispy duck pancakes,,,,:P

I have just been reading the last few pages...I know what you mean about going into shops...I hate it.....I stutter..my disability is not obvious until I open my gob...I love to shop...but hate shop assistants...who always look at me as if I am a raving psycho.

I'm certainly going to have lots of duck panckes!

I'm wearing my chinese dress tonight my hair done up in curls and my make up looks ok for once! LOL!

My mum though dear oh dear, it looks like she got dressed in the 80's era!

Awww! It's really bad when my Mum dresses like that, because that's when she thinks she looks 'modern' and I don't have the heart to tell her otherwise!

My mum is dressing like Irene used to flowery shirts and leggings! Dear oh me! And she thinks she looks cool! I seriously need to give her a lesson in fashion!

See ya later girlies, I'm off now! Have a good night, and don't do anything I wouldn't do!
