~Lynd~ Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Yeah me to.I'm wierd i can't handle needles and Period pain is horrible but bareable, just. I don't know,i think half of putting me off wanting a baby is the needle involved.I think i'd rather the pain.Maybe.I'm strange.
Jess Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I'm awful with pain, I really do think I'd end up having a C-section!
xGlowingAngelx Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I'm awful with pain, I really do think I'd end up having a C-section! Lol. I haven't thought that far ahead yet. I've only just left school! lol.
Jess Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 LOL....it's not high on my list of priorities right now either, but my Mum is always going on about how much it hurts. I think it's to ensure that I don't make her a grandma while she's still young!
Emmadolly Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I'm awful with pain, I really do think I'd end up having a C-section! I wanted a normal birth on my first child, but ended up with an emergency c section. It was painful for a week or so, but i was so pleased i had a natural birth the second time around, just to experience it. It will not matter about needles at all when your in pain, you will take anything they offer you. All worth it in the end. I rather give birth than go to the dentist or have toothache any day of the week.
Jess Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I really hope what you say about needles is true, Emma. They really do scare me!
MarMar Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Gah! I suck at drinking and hot weather. So dehydrated! *drowns in a glass of apple juice*
claire_louise Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 It really really does. I'm terrified of it, I could barely handle period pains. I've heard that labour pains are like very bad period pains (stress on the 'very' there!). Seeing as I've had those kind of period pains where I can barely stand up, I'm hoping I'd be able to handle it!
Jess Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Me too...I've drunk a fair bit of water, but no matter how much I drink it never seems to have any effects...I must be seriously dehydrated! Plus I've been in a heavily air conditioned room all day, so that will've made the dehydration worse
Emmadolly Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I really hope what you say about needles is true, Emma. They really do scare me! Lol. Believe it or not, i dont give a dame about sticking a needle into a patient, but i dont like it done to me. Your focus is different when your in labour, all your thoughts are on the babies best interests, and having a small prick will not scare you. I used to pluck up enough courage to have a smear test. But when your in pain, you will not give a dame, i promise you.
