beachbabe Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 People rarely reply to mine. I am completely ignored in general chat. I don't come here a lot anymore because of it, and that the general user treats me like ****. Aww but i think you are on of the popular members here and make friends easily. by the way, you know the members list who is online, I never see your name even though you are active at times you come back and forth like the wind
MarMar Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 That's because I've set myself as invisible to avoid naggers. I'm sorry, I'm just not feeling good. I was on the top of the world earlier, having a great time, when depression suddenly hit again, and I'm lower than I have been in a few months. Sorry. I'll come back when I feel better, whenever that might be.
shawtyy Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Mercury Girl you put a lot of effort into running this forum it would be a shame if you stopped visiting this forum.
Jess Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Yeah, Mar....You always manage to come out with something interesting/topical, plus you contribute to the smuttiness of the GR..which, trust me, is a good thing. And you really are a good Mod (regardless of the opinions of other members)
xGlowingAngelx Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Exactly^^ I totally agree Jess. I started reading Girls Room from the beginning before. The first few weeks were very....intereseting ;) lol.

We all have days like this Merc, we wouldnt be human other wise , I get depression suddenly, one minute im over the moon and the next so sad like someone has died, my friend has it and her dad, depression strikes suddenly, try using a stress ball to relive your pains and make you feel better
Maaike Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Or you can try to watch a really crappy romantic movie. It always helps with me. It makes you realise the world isn't such a bad place after all... (well, according to the movie )
MarMar Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Thanks for all good advice, but it seems that some (not necessarily the people who have posted here tonight) think that when someone says they're depressed,, they're nothing more but a little bummed out. When I say depressed I mean depressed, as in not getting up in the morning, suicidal thoughts etc.
Maaike Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Oh, sorry Mercury Girl, I misunderstood. To be honest, I don't have a lot of experience with depressions. A friend of mine went through a very difficult time when her father died, and she took some therapy that really helped her. I couldn't do much for her at the time, only be there for her when she needed me. Most of the time, it meant listening to her stories about her feelings and emotions. I really don't know if any of that helped her (maybe because it wasn't professional help), but I'd like to believe it did. So, if it's really serious, talk to someone about it (in here, or a friend, or maybe a professional person). Don't keep those horrible feelings to yourself. There are always people who can help you, just because they love you so much and they believe you're worth it. All I can say is, I'm here if you want to talk, I think a lot of people here are willing to help you, although that might be unrealistic, because we don't know you that well, and we don't know about the circumstances etc. But I'm sure there will be plenty of people in you enviorment who are there for you. I hope you get through this, I truly believe you will.
