Elise Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Ow, and....ew. Never happened to me, thankfully. I'd hate it if my nose became septic! Luckily for me, it's all good.
~Lynd~ Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 It should be fine, just watch if it's infected and you have symptoms such as nausia, vomiting and headaches, which are all sympoms of septicemia which is when a infection reaches your bloodstream and can be fatal if untreated. It'd be rare in piercings i'd think.
Elise Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 I was lucky then. Nah, all my piercings have been great, had no troubles at all, it was just getting used to having a nose ring, what with sneezing and blowing my nose and the putting on jumpers and all.... Have had it now for almost 6 years, it has become a part of me!
~Lynd~ Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 That's why i havn't got one in my nose,i just think it'd feel to weird.
MarMar Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Great piercing mar! I have my nose pierced so I know how much it hurts to get cartlidge done! Thus why I'm scared to get the top of my ear pierced, it will hurt heaps and I normally sleep on my side, so my ears will cop it! One of my friends had hers done a while ago, and it went septic, so she took it out and went and had the other ear done! Strange Girl.... You should never remove the jewelery if it gets infected! The jewelery works as drainage, and if you remove it you risk locking the infection in. Just out of curiosity Mar...what is your natural hair colour? Dark or fair? Are you a blonde viking? I'm blonde, but not a pretty kind of blonde.
pam Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 One of my friends got her lower back pierced. I got the shivers looking at it, it also became infected and it was giving her so much pain that it had to be taken out. The worst of all was that she couldn't see a doctor and her parents would of hit the roof if they found out so she had to try to care for it by herself to make it better. After that experience I went off the idea of getting my belly button pierced.

I didn't either until I saw it...it looked so painful, I was really freaked out for a few days until it sunk it. She also got the web like the skin between her thumb and index finger as well. Those are the 2 scariest piercings I have seen (the nipple one also is not that plesant and looks quite painful)
Traceve Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Omfg, she got the skin between her thumb and index finger pierced. I think that has put me off getting any more piercings
