-Annie- Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 ^Very true. You've gotta pay a price for beauty! I like stuff that can cover up well, without making me look like a plastic, so hopefully it will work.
Elise Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I am a minimal make up person, in fact I rarely wear it! I never ever had liquid foundation, as it looks like it is caked on, I use the powder ones. I thought I'd try something different, and I love it. Give it a try!
-Annie- Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Yeah! I really hate that plastic Barbie look...a girl I know wears sooo much, that I swear if I touched her cheek, it would leave an indent!
~Lynd~ Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I don't wear a lot of make up even though i've done a make up artistery cours. As long as you get the foundation as close to your skin colour as possible and don't cake it on you should look ok.Try to make it match your neckline becourse that's a dead giveaway, lol. I use a liquid M.A.C foundation,it's pretty good though really pricey.Try applying it with a sponge if you're using your hands or from the tube or whatever,it'll help to even the coverage out.
Elise Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 ^Thanks for the tip mate! Does it work the same as mousse? I have a foundation brush and I cover very lightly, but also down to the lower neck, and around to my ears, as I hate the makeup line.
DreamerCio Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 For school Ball(happens at christmas rather than easter time) a girl(one of my friends) wore a dress that was described in the school magazine as ''Barbie Dress'- Shame Ken didn't turn up', and this is in the school magazine. I'm not sure if I should tell my friend to look at the school magazine and read it(it's a form of bullying). My mum's really shocked about it and it doesn't say who wrote the article in the school magazine.
Elise Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I know that this may sound really bad, but that comment made me laugh. Not that I condone bullying, that was rather cruel for someone to do, it's just the comment that sounded funny. If it were me, I'd tell her, cos I would be pissed if I found out last and my friends knew!
Jess Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 That's a really harsh comment - especially to write in such a public place. Don't the teachers read what goes in? Our stufff gets edited so much (they're almost as bad as Five with Home and Away )...:s I think you should say something to her, because she's bound to read it, or hear someone else make a nasty comment about it. I'd rather it came from my friend than a total randomer.
Marieh Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I just bought a moon cup..its different and more comfortable than either pads or tampons. Its very environmentally friendly too What on earth is a Moon Cup? http://www.mooncup.co.uk/

Yeah i guess it'd work the same as Mousse,i'll get some tomorrow and experiment and tell you! I've never realy used Mousse. About the Barbie comment,i think i'd tell her,it's better coming from a friend than some random person i think.
