Frankie Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 Does anyone have any good tips or a website on tampons? My tip is...don't use them....a couple of months ago Mar talked about using a cup and I went out and bought a moon cup...for which I am very grateful.... thanks Mar.. ...its eco friendly, it's very comfortable, there is none of that awful dry feeling towards the end of your period that you get when removing a tampon...it does not leak, and it saves money. I am never using pads or tampons ever again. http://www.mooncup.co.uk/
Loz Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 http://www.mooncup.co.uk/ Is it immature of me to find the thought of that totally alarming?
Frankie Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 http://www.mooncup.co.uk/ Is it immature of me to find the thought of that totally alarming? No of course not...I was a bit put off at the thought of it to start with...in fact i think my first thought was ..ewwww...and no way.....but the more I thought about it the more it made sense..it is always risky trying something new...but I am really glad in this case that I did. It might not suit everyone...but its an option to consider which perhaps a lot of people are not aware of...and if it wasn't for Mar telling me about it I would never have considered it.
*belle* Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I've got to say the idea of using that kind of scares me..... I think I'll stick to pads!

I think it's a good idea, and I actually think objectively that everyone should use them because of the environmental factors. However, I'm someone who thinks that taking the pill for three months straight without a break is an equally valid option. I'd kind of be more convinced if there were *some* negative testimonials to read.
claire_louise Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 Well, what your saying is basically what any negative testimonials would say. It's obviously not everyone's cup of tea.
Loz Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 Except that I'm saying it based on never having tried it.
Frankie Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 Well the only negative thing I could say is that it did take a few goes to get it right....but you could say that about a lot of things ... ...but once I got the hang of it it was fine.
