MarMar Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Naw! I'm sure you'll get the hang of it (btw, do you take lessons?) Boyfriend was mighty impressed. My mom had a flat tire, and asked if he could change it for her, instead of getting a truck to take the car to ca garage. Neither of us had ever done it before, and who was it who got down and did it? Me!

Neither of us had ever done it before, and who was it who got down and did it? Me! That's really impressing! Did you stand on the "jekk"? Me and my sister did when we changed the tire. So when we got a flat tire (2nd one in a week, didn't have the spare) we had to go down to statoil and fix it. And Lund (We call him by his last name) had some problems getting it off ... It was so funny, and he didn't believe that we had changed it .. You should be really proud ;)
Marieh Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Yeah, I did! Well, now no one can't sat you cant ;)..
Jess Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Wow, well done Merc! I take driving lessons, but I'm dreading having to change a tyre!
Guevara01 Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I have applyed to take driving lessons yet, even though i can. I don't feel old enough lol, i see people i know driving around, and most of the time it freaks me out! I've driven a car before, and i'm not really afraid of it or anything, but it just feels weird. Do you have to have your P plates (?) before you can go driving with your parents? xxx
MarMar Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I didn't get my licence until a few months before my 20th (mostly because I had to pay for it myself, and it's really expensive with lessons and all here). I don't know the system as it is now, because they changed it right after I started driving, but I know you and your parents have to take a test before you're allowed to drive with them. We don't have a P-plate, but a L-plate. Not sure what the L is supposed to mean, though - "læring", kanskje ("in" tutoring)?
Marieh Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I took a course (sp..?) in may for te4st driving (..?) my dad has STILL not taken me for a trip, it's reallly 3500 NOK down the drain *Omg, I'm in love with this smily *

Do you have to have your P plates (?) before you can go driving with your parents? xxx To drive with parents you just have to have your Provisional license. You can send off for this even if you haven't taken lessons or anything (although it is wise to be able to drive a car before you go out in one )

Parents don't have to take a test, we just have to take a 48 (..?) course, it's just that if your first to the scene of an accident, what you should do, (call 113, how many people is hurt, what happend *if you know*, if you can help them, if so, how) and then we had the typical "Motorbike accident" - Remove the helmet. BUT THEN came the discoussion about the old myth about the brain could be all over the head and the helmet is the only ting that helps it from not coming out .. The course isn't a "biggy" I nearly knew everything that was there. It was really a weekend waisted, but we need it...
