katya Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 Yea, it's like people are scared to speak their mind these days for fear of sounding politically incorrect, or fuelling racial/social tensions, when what they think is hardly inflammatory at all. The world's become crazy.
Elise Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Unfortunately that is the way things have headed. It's everywhere, including the internet! I think things haven't and never will be the same after September 11 2001.
MarMar Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 I don't think the world will ever be the same way after Christianity (and other patriarchal religions) started to get bigger grounds. Should have nibbed it in the bud.
Marieh Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 When we're on the subject. We had "Johovas vitne/Jehovah's Witnesses " on the door here some weeks ago, and the lady was like "Do you believe in eternal life" and I was just like "No, I'm a non believer" and she got really pissed at me because I didn't want to read her stupid booklet . And I just had to laugh. And of course when I tried to sneak in the line at the store, It HAD to be her! And she had this fake smile on her face
Jackieleanne Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 We always hide when we see them coming down the street and pretend that we are not in.
MarMar Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Stavanger get a lot of Mormons, you know, these sleek looking young men. However, they have given up on stopping me, it seems. Guess I'm just way beyond saving.
Marieh Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 We always hide when we see them coming down the street and pretend that we are not in. Thet haven't been to our house since the late 80's But I guess they were hoping that there was a new family there when they were checking again to see .. As long as we own the house, they'll just have to continue coming and goind again
MarMar Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 My sister asks then in for coffee and them commence talking about the Bible and showing that she knows more than they do it about their holy book.
Pierced Musie Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 When we're on the subject. And she had this fake smile on her face When they come to our door we usually say that we are giving blood and don't want to be late. They don't believe in donating blood. They are just so pushy though!
MarMar Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 That's the best excuse I've heard for keeping them away, Muse!
