MarMar Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Not everyone gain weight. Most girls will feel an increase in appetite, and that is why they gain weight, not because of the pill itself. As Elise said, the pill tricks your body into acting as if it's pregnant, ie it works because, if taken correctly, you won't ovulate, as you wouldn't if you were pregnant, and with no egg on the run, you can't fall pregnant. A bigger appetite is also a symptom of pregnancy.
Eli Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I didn't know it was like tricking your body to thinking it was pregnant. It makes perfect sense of course, but I never though of it that way!
Elise Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Yeah, it actually sounds more complicated than it is! When you do go on the pill (if you haven't already) read the leaflet, it gives you some good info on it. Besides, it also regulates your 'period' becuase you controll it.
SfanS Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I suppose that when we get to high-school (Us 11's that is) everyone will stop talking about it, but God, the girls are So FASCINATED. Half of them bring it up all the time. Not many of us have had it, and are quite nosey to who has...One girl went through another girls bag because she saw pads in there! And the girl caught her.... But with PDHPE lessons and all, there is a lot of talk...let's say. THe boys find it hilarious to talk about. Urgh.... There's one girl though, that does NOT get it. This is her explanation on how she was born. Her mother was asleep. The doc walked in. He saw a lump in the bed, ands asked what it is Her mother checked, and found...HER! My friends and I found it quite amusing....and that's the end of my rambly chatter...
mitchiev91 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 ^ Just watch out! Cover your eyes when it comes to the SMUT. but thats the best part! this is like health class but without all the good bits taken out

Pierced Musie Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I'm happy. I have lunch that was paid for by sister (discarded Marks & Spencers vouchers rock!) and I have the WWE Divas calendar hung up on the wall. Class.

I did, I hate leaflets, but when it comes to medication it's better to read it, after all there are side-effects...
